Beautiful hotel bars
Las Vegas is a see-and-be-seen kind of place, and nowhere is that more true than in the city’s lavish hotel bars. Sink into the plush sofas at Bound at the Cromwell and peruse a menu full of cocktails crafted by Salvatore Calabrese, or linger under the spectacular, crystal light fixture at the Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Wherever you venture, you’ll want to wear your best threads.
Breakfast buffets
It will come as welcome news to evening revellers that Las Vegas is serious about its hearty breakfast buffets. From the Gallic-themed spread at The Paris Hotel’s Le Village to the Bellagio’s destination-worthy buffet (banana Nutella-stuffed French toast, anyone?) to the classic eggs and bacon standards at Bally’s Buca Café Italiano, there’s more than one way to counteract your late-night indulgences.

Vegas fine dining
Feast in the lap of luxury at an incredible array of fine dining restaurants across Las Vegas. Indulgence is the order of the day at Michael Mina at the Bellagio, where you can sample beautifully fresh seafood (and the famous caviar parfait). Restaurant Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon Restaurant should appeal to Michelin-chasers, while the fresh-from-Japan Kobe steaks at Bazaar Meat by José Andrés are the stuff of legend. No matter which acclaimed dining room you choose to visit, you can anticipate the meal of a lifetime.
Downtown Vegas restaurants
Beyond the unrivalled decadence of the Strip, Downtown Las Vegas is a less obvious, but no less worthy, culinary destination. In this locals-frequented part of town, you’re likely to stumble upon inventive independent restaurants, smashing sushi bars, and, in the trendy Downtown Container Park, eateries slinging everything from tacos and gourmet hot dogs to raw vegan eats. This part of town may not be quite as glitzy, but it’s definitely no less delicious.
Vegas cocktails
The cocktail scene in Las Vegas goes well beyond whatever circulates on casino servers’ trays. In the casinos, you can sidle up to such estimable bars as the Alibi Cocktail Lounge at Aria, where top-notch cocktails and impeccable style are served up in equal measure. And away from the Strip, venture to the stylish Downtown Cocktail Room for a speakeasy ambiance, visit the delightfully kitsch Frankie’s Tiki Room for an array of rum-based serves, and swirl some barrel-aged whisky drinks at Oak & Ivy.
