DANGEROUS GOODS

Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard the aircraft, in your luggage, or on your person. A violation can result in five years imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 USD or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials.

Firearms in checked baggage must be declared and unloaded. Passengers failing to declare firearms or transporting loaded firearms are subject to a civil penalty of up to $10,000. Passengers with checked baggage may be asked to present identification and/or permit inspection of their checked baggage. Passengers refusing to present identification and/or permit checked baggage inspection may not be transported.

This notice is issued in accordance with CAA in the interest of public safety. The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) regulations apply.

SHARP ITEMS

LIQUIDS

Any liquids, gels or pastes in your hand luggage must not exceed 100ml/3ounces in quantity. Please keep them in a see-through, sealable plastic bag - you'll need to show them at security

HAND-BAGGAGE ONLY

E-cigarettes and Lithium batteries need to be packed into your hand baggage. There are some exceptions. Just ask us if you have any questions.

Credit Card Presentation

In order to purchase and travel on your ticket, you must bring your credit card and photo identification to the airport on or before the day of your flight. Otherwise, you will be denied travel. Also, you will not be able to check in online, but you can check in at the kiosks at the airport using the same credit card that was used to purchase the ticket(s).

One time use credit card numbers provided by some credit card companies cannot be used at virginatlantic.com.
