Cape Town has plenty to offer when it comes to sightseeing, and The Commodore is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the V&A waterfront, Table Mountain, and Robben Island with ease. Upgrade to an Executive room to make the most of the views from your balcony on the top floor, or even to a King Suite if you want the extra space for your stay. The nautical theme runs throughout the hotel, from your room right through to the bar and restaurant, where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local wines. As you’re in the heart of the harbour, you don’t have to go far to find more restaurants and bars either, where you can while away sunny evenings in the oldest working harbour in South Africa.

We stayed in The Commodore since it's my father's favorite hotel in Cape Town and has enjoyed his stay there over the years. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and it's all thank to the stuff of the hotel. Its people is its heart. Even when I encountered some mishaps still everything was more well received and accepted thanks to the way the stuff handled the situation. And this is the most important to me. I would like also to share what I enjoyed the most: breakfast, the lobby and comfortable room. The bathroom would need a renovation at some point, and would have enjoyed more options in lunch/dinner. The location of the hotel is excellent. I would definitely come back.

It was amazing experience to be running a Mental wellness workshop for your team at the hotel. This shows that you value your guests and also value your team at the Hotel by investing in them.

Very pleased with this hotel. Location was really good, walk to the end of the road and the V&A waterfront was there, along with Hop on/hop off bus stop, Aquarium. Safe to walk there and back in the evening.
Communal areas were nice, lovely bar area, decent breakfast with a chef station for eggs etc. Room was fine, little on the tired side, but…
