We had the worst bread and fish for late lunch at one of the restaurants at Fancourt. Our complimentary bread was tuff, rubbery and repeatedly reheated and completely inedible.
I then ordered the line fish of the day R255 per pop. It was hake. Overcooked, rubbery and looked like it was taken out of the deep freeze then quickly thawed in water…

My guest a member of the prestigious club ( so called) asked me to not complaint as she felt embarrassed.
I did show the chef my fotos and everything but he didn't sound apologetic nor could he explain the poor quality of fish and bread.
I mean who messes up starter bread and hake.
These establishments that charges above normal prizes need to deliver. This establishment is a let down. I mean 2 simple dishes!!!
Poor quality. Not worth it. People move on.
