Loved this hotel. Charming boutique style, great service, lovely food. Lovely vibe about it. Location was on main church street, near to lots of restaurants.
We had a ‘plenty’ room which was really nice. Lots of space, big bathroom. Balcony overlooking the courtyard.

Oasis of calm.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the middle of the town. Great mix of old world architecture and modern appointments. The staff are excellent (special mention to asst mgr Stacy lee who helped recover a lost phone). The food is very good. The pool area is an oasis of cool calm at the centre of the hotel.

A lovely hotel in the downtown of Stellenbosch within walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums and galleries, Oude Werf is a comfortable and welcoming refuge after traveling. The hotel staff is warm, helpful and responsive. The rooms are light, comfortable and airy. The hotel, which also offers laundry service for dusty travelers who have spent weeks on the road, also serves a generous and tasty breakfast that comes with the cost of the room. If we ever return to Stellenbosch, one of the major wine areas of South Africa, it's the only place I would stay.

I’ll start with the staff who were extremely accommodating and friendly. Some much our last morning they prepared a ful breakfast before opening at 7am. Semolina (spelled wrong) concierge who helped us many times was wonderful. Rooms large and clean and breakfast was amazing. All in the right spot in town. Loved it.

Great location on Church Street in the centre of Stellenbosch. Valet parking very useful. Excellent and friendly desk service and check in, found us a lovely restaurant (Hussars) as we really wanted a steak, and they sorted us a table. Room was beautiful, overlooking the Old College. Bed huge and very comfortable.
