Hilton Toronto

The hotel

Hilton Toronto is seriously well-connected — it’s attached to the city’s popular PATH walkway, an underground labyrinth linking you to top downtown sights and forming the world’s largest subterranean shopping venue. If PATH’s 1,200-plus stores don’t satisfy your retail urges, you’re also an above-ground walk from hundreds of shops at Eaton Centre, along with that Toronto tourist must, CN Tower. They haven’t rested on their ‘location’ laurels here though: Hilton have made sure there’s plenty to return to after exploring, with a fitness room, indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and spacious modern guestrooms (some with complimentary Continental breakfast thrown in). If you’re just returning for dinner, you’ve got the steakhouse’s prime Midwestern beef and Tundra Restaurant’s Canadian styling and global dining to pick from — each chased with a cheeky post-dinner coffee from the hotel’s own branch of Starbucks®.

I've always loved the service-orientation focus Hilton has provided me with over the years, however, given the chain's great success, I'm disappointed they haven't adopted many sustainability practices. Furthermore, my family and I were disappointed in the lack of effort the management of Hilton has towards supporting sustainability.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in the Toronto Hilton. The location is just about perfect for access to anything downtown via public transportation, the PATH (a marvelous subterranean system), or by foot. The hotel offers just about as many amenities as we could imagine (and most we didn’t even use), a real feeling of elegance and spaciousness on the ground level, and truly friendly and helpful staff. We had a minor issue with our room right after check-in and it was taken care of immediately in a manner that exceeded our expectations. Our stay was in a room that was up to date, clean & comfortable, and easily met our needs. Next time we’re planning a visit to Toronto, we’ll consider this hotel first. Read less

We stayed at this Hotel Dec. 24 to Dec. 27, 2024. It was our first time ..... definitely returning. The hotel located at the heart of downtown ..... walking distance to most attractions. & Under $10 Uber rides IF you wanted to travel to the Distillery District, Eaton Centre, City Hall. Even a ride to The Old Spaghetti factory was only $12 ! The hotel is immaculate ..... every nook and corner is CLEAN. The Housekeeping staff are very quick to respond to all our needs .... just fabulous ! Beds are very comfortable, sheets must be egyptian cotton OMG .. pillows are comfy. Rooms are spacious and views are amazing. Really makes you think why we don't come check out Toronto more often (we're from the Suburbs ! lol) The concierge and valet staff are wonderful and kind and so welcoming. They begin your trip with smiles and help ! Best part of your stay ... THE STAFF ...... the front staff are so polite and kind and just spectacular. In person and over the phone. The night manager Mr. Sarfaraz was very kind and helpful, always made sure to come say hello to us and ask how it's going. You immediately feel taken care of! He's very "hands on" and interactive with his guests. And you can tell right away that he's very focused and attentive on his team. he's there supporting the team and the guests ... great management skills BRAVO ! (Trust me ... we travel A LOT ... we know .... we can tell!) Carlos is another amazing guest relations agent, he's such a kind soul. Always so helpful and makes sure there's nothing left to ask for. He's very polite and always smiling ... on night shift !! Kudos ! Bali from front desk checked us in smoothly and gave our kids such a wonderful welcome, and yummy Christmas cookies too. She went above and beyond and made sure that the kids were happy and all the things they requested reached our rooms before we got there ! That's excellence in customer service ! The breakfasts at the Frenchy restaurant was just out of this world ! Since it was Christmas, it was packed. They were understaffed. However, the chef and cooks and serving staff were very professional and hospitable. They made sure all the guests were welcomed and served with a smile. We really miss our warm fresh yummylicious croissants and the betest capucinos ever !!! OMG (Since it was Christmas and the restaurant was full .... they were slow to refill the buffet, however, the chef and staff were able to refill with FRESH food. So nothing is "heated" up, it's made fresh. The wait was worth it !) They even asked and made special requests. First time ever having Eggs Florentine ! wowoowow Thank you. Our favourite server was Mr. Ali .... he's so calm and kind and gracious ! Truly a gentelman. No matter how chaotic the place was ..... he was calm and attentive. I was waiting for croissants...... he made sure I sat and ate my breakfast, while he went and got us a tray of fresh baked hot croissants. Thank you. He remembered our drinks order from the previous day .. that's so great ! We hop to be back soon and request seating in your section Mr. Ali ...... Thank you. Ms. Cama the hostess at the restaurant was so kind and accomodating and welcoming, with grace and smile. Truly a memorable experience. We had dinner at Frenchy the first night, it's mainly French Cuisine, so it's a acquired taste. The dinner was very slow (again, it was fully packed) so it's not a place for kids. But the other guests, mostly adults really seemed to be enjoying the cuisine very much. The bar staff is great too. the bar and hotel lobby and the restaurant are absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable, modern, and definitely IG post worthy !! Liam and another young man both helped with our lugguage, again these staff members are so nice and great. They're always there to help you, and when they're busy, the front desk staff come to support them and help out. It's a great team ! So impressive !! I hurt my ankle walking back from City Hall. I called down for some first aid and bandaids ..... the Security Manager gentleman came up with a first aid care box so quick .... i was shocked. He offered to help and made sure I was well and ok. They all really care. It shows, it's not just their job ..... they actually love being there and provide excellent memorable customer service ! From the moment you drive in, the the moment you drive out ! (Again ........ we have been travelling for years ... and stayed in LOTS of great hotels around the world ! For a long time, we believed Canada does not have great service hotels, not matched internationally ..... but WOW were we proved wrong. This hotel & the level of service ........ international level .... Gold Star .... Keep it up !! I'm sure because of the great experienced management team like Mr. Sarfaraz .... who are the best ....... & only demand the best !!) We can't wait to to come back. Thanks again. Happy New Year to you all !! Read less

The staff was friendly and the hotel is well situated. After spending three nights, I woke up one morning with rashes on my neck. It turned out to be bedbugs, which was really annoying. Also, the room could have been cleaner. Please be advised.
