The hotel

A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet. The SuperFoods menu features revitalizing dishes made from healthy ingredients rich in nutrients, antioxidants and delicious taste so you can feel energized and at your best all day. If you're looking for something a bit more chilled, retire to the Chartroom Bar and Lounge where you can grab a local brew and a range of dishes, throughout the day.

Standard Guest Rooms feature city views with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Lake View rooms feature a balcony overlooking the water, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Corner King Rooms featuring sweeping panoramic views of Lake Ontario, seating area with sofa, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

I've travelled a lot this year, with probably 20 nights in Toronto alone. I wanted to give this hotel an honest look, so I stayed three times. It has an interesting location on the water, just off the Gardiner Expressway, close to Via Rail. The restaurant / in-room dining is very good, if pricey like most hotels. Some rooms are newly refurbished, and the decor is nice. Westin HC struggles, however, with some of the basics. The HVAC in the room sounds like the outboard in my fishing boat. On-site parking can be full, so you have to find parking nearby (uncovered, $50, a block away). Hot water that wasn't 'hot', despite letting the shower run. Still some things to sort out... Read less

I had the best weekend ever at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto while in town for Night 6 of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour! This hotel truly sparkled and made the experience beyond my wildest dreams. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every Swiftie felt enchanted and ready for the big night. The fun started with a thoughtful touch: free beads to make friendship bracelets for the concert! Guests gathered in the lobby to craft and connect—it was like living in a Daydream. On show nights, the hotel also had a pop-up makeup station where fans could get their glitter and sparkles on to Bejeweled. Special shoutout to Leah, the star employee who applied glitter and sparkles with such care and artistry! Even with long lines of excited fans, Leah stayed cheerful, chatted with everyone, and added the perfect ✨ sparkle ✨ to each guest. Her positive energy radiated through the room, and she made us all feel like the lucky one. The Westin Harbour Castle wasn’t just a place to stay; it was part of the experience. Everyone was so friendly and supportive, creating an atmosphere of pure happiness. After soaking up the concert magic, it was so comforting to return to such a welcoming space. If you’re a Taylor fan (or just love amazing hospitality), I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The Westin Harbour Castle made my Eras Tour weekend absolutely unforgettable. You belong with them! The Westin White Tea fragrance is probably one of my favourites of the Marriott brand… had been awhile since getting to enjoy it. The Westin harbour has always been our go-to hotel in Toronto for location and amenities. We booked our corner jr suite a year ago for attending the Taylor Swift concert. Our daughter booked the same room, several floors down. She experienced the same problems. First, there is a renovation going on. Our room had just been redone. The room next door was in progress. Supposedly 7:30 - 5, our neighbor room was worked on before and after allocated time. The room was nicely redone, but seems not quite finished. No hot water was a major issue. Barely tepid. Talked to the front desk and they did send engineers up to our and the daughter’s room, same issue, promptly. Evidently the thermostat in both rooms were not set for actual occupancy. The problem was 75% solved, the next morning, cold water again, seemingly due to others using? Unacceptable for a room that costs almost 1k/night. Also ice was unavailable. Not on several floors above or below. Called the service desk and was rudely told to put my ice bucket outside the door, someone will fill it. An hour later, no ice. I found a very nice cleaner on the floor who was able to get me ice with a direct call. It was such a disappointment to have such poor service/situations for a stay that was not budget. Please do better. Read less
