The hotel

This glamourous bay-side residence sits on a curve of Vancouver Harbour facing stunning Stanley Park — giving you incredible views and incredible access to this urban utopia. You can explore the park like locals with The Westin Bayshore’s complimentary bikes (if you’re not tempted off-track by cycling expeditions like their tantalisingly titled ‘Craft Beer Tour’). This being a Westin hotel, they’ve included other sporty freebies like RunWESTIN jogging routes, YogaWESTIN sessions, and a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio. If sport isn’t your game, there’s always spa treatments, a soak in the chic circular pool (perfectly positioned by the harbour’s boardwalk, and your room’s ‘Heavenly’ bed and bath. And, after the sightseeing, the sports, or the simple relaxation, you can take your seat in the H2 Rotisserie and Bar to enjoy seasonal cuisine and views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore Mountains.

The floor to ceiling windows provided a fabulous view and we enjoyed further gazing from the balcony despite the chilly weather. The room was cozy and spotless. The staff at this hotel are the most gracious, professional, friendly, efficient and helpful group we have ever encountered. The breakfast buffet was filled with delights - a variety of choices from green salad to muesli, from smoked salmon to chia pudding. The two entrees we ordered from room service were delicious, prompt and hot. The location of the hotel can't be beat. The walking is easy all along the waterfront to Canada Place or Stanley Park. The outdoor spaces around the hotel are beautifully landscaped, the pool is steaming and the cedar barrel saunas await. Read less

I stayed here for four nights. They were kind enough to upgrade me to a high floor with the view of the harbor. So yay! My room big, bed comfortable and bathroom was clean. All the staff (front desk, especially Andrew, cleaning people, valet, luggage people, and the restaurants staff) were very friendly and professional. Did not have a single negative interaction with anyone. The gym is somewhat small but good enough. The pool was great. My only complaint is regarding the bill. The final bill was so confusing and I am still trying to figure it out. It was so bad that even the front desk people couldn’t explain it. It needs to be completely changed. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great service, convenient location and shuttle.

Convenient shuttle, recently updated rooms, helpful front desk and excellent housekeeping (Londa, I believe). A little more expensive than we usually spend but in this case it was worth it. I don’t know why Trip Advisor requires my review to be at least 200 characters…

Stayed as a family with young kids and enjoyed the beautiful harbor views, even on rainy days. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly during check-in. The hotel offers plenty of entertainment, including a games room that kept the kids busy for hours, a great onsite pool (indoor and heated outdoor pool) and a hot tub, and mid-afternoon snacks in the lobby—delicious donuts! Just a few areas could use improvement to make this a five-star experience. Rooms were not cleaned daily unless specifically requested, and even then, the cleaning was minimal—beds were made and towels replaced, but no real tidying. The hallways had an unpleasant smell, while the lobby was overly perfumed, which was difficult as a migraine sufferer. Additionally, grocery stores and cafes were not too conveniently located from the hotel. Despite these minor issues, it’s a really comfortable, family-friendly hotel with lots to offer on site. Some small adjustments could make it perfect. Read less
