Tamarind Hills has certainly earned it's status as a Small Luxury Hotel of the world. We stayed in an amazing studio with stunning panoramic views of the Caribbean that has made me feel Antigua is the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Located at the south end of Ffryes Beach, it is a stunning property with access to a variety of activities but also the ability to kick back and relax not leaving the beach for a week if that's what you want. The hotel staff are all very friendly and kind we got to know some of the bartenders and waitresses including DaVincia and Michele who could not have been kinder and provided plenty of information about Antigua - where to go/what to do beyond the basics. I still cannot get over just how clear the water was just steps from the hotel. Just down the beach you can rent anything from jetskis to paddle boards if you want to get out on the water beyond a casual swim. We couldn't have had better weather and it made for the perfect getaway from a winter climate. The first half of our stay the food was relatively mediocre and nothing to write home about. However, halfway through our stay the new executive chef (Simon) provided an updated menu that was definitely trending in the right direction - certainly excited to go back and see what the next iteration looks like. A huge credit goes to the new GM Munish who personally greeted us any time he was traversing the property and spotted us. I would absolutely give Tamarind Hills 5 stars and we will certainly be back as soon as we can! Read less

But….they spray the property for mosquitos, but were never informed, think of the fumes! Were they toxic? Clouds of spray everywhere during dinner hours. We had to cover our nose. Awful. I appreciate that it must be done, but to not inform your guests? Unacceptable. Food: they don’t divulge that you can order a la carte for breakfast, they provide a buffet, which is what we assumed was all we could eat and it was AWFUL. When we finally asked if there were another option we were able to get edible food, but it’s no frills. Why wasn’t it offered? Omelette? Sure, but you get nothing with it. Lunch on the beach was better, not sure why, but it worked. We loved Rashida and David, truly wonderful staff members!! We had one dinner at the resort and it was wonderful. Won’t return, but I’m taking the best of what I experienced with me. Read less

My family and I had a great family vacation and celebrating our Mom's birthday at Tamarind Hills! Ffryes Beach is absolutely stunning! The resort has beautiful views and the staff and service are amazing! The concierge, Obed, did an amazing job in helping us with seeing Antigua, as well as planning an excellent surprise for my Mom for her birthday, including lavishly decorating her room and having a cake for her! It was a great treat for her, and she really enjoyed it. We really enjoyed the beach, and there is kayaking, paddleboarding, etc, which is complimentary. The manager, Manish, checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and we were enjoying. Huge compliments to Tamarind Hills and all the staff! Highly recommend and we hope to return soon! Read less

Dreadful food and service . The beach and rooms are fine but nothing else . V grateful I only had 3 nights there They have a safe swimming area cordoned off . While swimming in it my foot was lacerated multiple time on an item in the sea attached to this . Never checked on me after this . Now 5 days later I am still hobbling on my cut foot
