They either intentionally or incompetently put random large charges onto your bill at the end from random restaurants or bars and just play dumb until you happen to notice upon checkout (or even days later). For instance, ice cream charges even though you never went to the ice cream place and lactose intolerant. Or poolside food/drink charges for an inferior tower which you did not stay at nor use (Royal charges even though you stay and only hang out at the Reef and did not charge anything anywhere anyway). A quick search in online Atlantis review groups found that this happens quite often and only when you notice the fraudulent/erroneous charges do are you able to challenge the charges and have them removed. The lack of shock or surprise by the hotel clerk during this process really makes me wonder if it is intentional and widespread. They don't have much of a poker face. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Noisy

Feb 9, 2025 Jennifer B Berlin, Maryland

The resort was not a place to relax. There was construction and lawn maintenance every day preventing us from enjoying the balcony and pool at the Reef. Do not stay at the Reef or Cove as it seems that there will be noisy maintenance to the Cove for quite some time.

Overall a great resort to be with your familiy, we stayed at the reef hotel for 6 nights and we loved the cascades pool right nearby the hotel as well as the secluded beach that's shared by the cove. With kids you really need to choose the reef or the royal, the other hotels are too far away from the pools to be enjoyed. The room was great, we got a 17th floor studio with stunning views of the sea and the resort. Bear in mind that the 48inch restriction for the slides is enforced so you need to plan accordingly if you have little ones. The only downside was that some of the guest service staff were not that helpfull on the daily and free activities, they only cared about the booked activities. We had this happen to us more than once and it's not acceptable for a resort at this price point. Food is pricey with the mandatory 10% vat and 15% gratuity, so you might want to plan ahead and either purchase their food plans and buy some food outside of the resort. Overall we really enjoyed the resort and would recommend it for any families looking to have a great time. Read less

The Reef is the place to stay with a large family. Service was impeccable and amenities were plentiful. Requests were dealt with immediately - they truly care about your satisfaction and that you have an enjoyable stay. I found out about the free laundry area in The Reef too late. I would have packed less! The toiletries were good quality and plentiful - I could have left all my big bottles at home. Beach/pool towels were always available. Housekeeping, front desk and the greeters at the arrival area were amazing - always friendly and ready to solve any issue. We explored all the different towers and their "vibes" and I feel The Reef was best suited to us and families with young children and I would definitely choose to stay there again if I were to return. I found it quieter and less hectic, and it was easy to get to other areas of the resort with the shuttle that runs regularly. Also to note - the rooms in The Reef were so quiet! We could literally not here a thing from any of the other suites or hallways. I was very pleased about that. Read less

Exceptionally clean. Friendly staff. Large room with all the amenities fridge, stove, microwave etc. Large king bed with pull out sofa. Daily cleaning by house staff. Easy walk around to all the hotels and activities est 15 mins walk to the Marina Village. There is a lot of shade so you don’t get wet in the rain if moving from one hotel to another. There are a lot of complementary shuttles on site to take you around the property they operate until about 12:00 at night. You can catch a bus to downtown Nassau for about $22 for 4 persons from the hotel lobby. Huge property, restaurants, cinema, escape rooms, pools, lazy river, slides, game nights, massive fish aquarium and of course the casino. The restaurants are expensive like Chop Stix not worth the price. The food really lacked taste. The Platos was reasonably priced and better quality. Overall a very good experience but I would not recommend eating onsite. Read less
