I was very anxious about this hotel after reading previous reviews. Yes the hotel is dated but the location right on beach more than made up for upgrades. I was very anxious about this hotel after reading previous reviews. Yes the hotel is dated but the location right on beach more than made up for upgrades. After all … aren’t we all there for the beach? The location was perfect. No car rental taxis required. Directly across street .. golden china the best. Just Grilling, Picasso for breakfast, wine world, ice cream shop, NY pizza, CIBC bank machine, Lewis Drug Mart, and coffee bean. Directly behind lifeguard hut go to Shagees for lunch and drinks. Walk boardwalk to Tapas. Treat yourself to Champers for exquisite culinary all within walking distance. The 4 - 6 nightly sunset happy hour was the best at Accra. We met several repeat guests who said they’ve tried other hotels in Barbados and by far Accra hotel was the best and now we know why. Can’t wait to return. Read less

Very friendly hotel. Many friends return year on year. Nice breakfast, and good quality evening meals. Staff were friendly and the manager very welcoming and pleasant. There are bbq nights and beach bar music some days /evenings. It is an older hotel but any issues we've had, were dealt with quickly. Have already booked for next year. Thank you Accra. Read less

Our 5th time at the Accra and we wouldn’t go anywhere else in Barbados. Suresh the manager goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, as do all the staff. Sylvester one of the bar staff is amazing. The waitresses at breakfast again were so helpful. Yes the hotel is basic and needs some upgrading, but then the prices would also go up.… Read more
