Overall this hotel is very nice; beautiful beachfront, food is excellent, service is great. However, please be aware that if you book a signature room, this may not be the beautiful pool view the pictures suggest. We are a group of 4 with 2 girls aged 14 who have been looking forward to a week at this hotel with what we hoped would be fabulous pool view rooms. Instead we have been put in what I would describe as the over-spill building which is opposite the main building with absolutely no view and which backs onto a restaurant or other building with loud expellers sending up smells that resemble a greasy spoon cafe. Our room towels and sheets smell like cooking fat. I hate to give negative feedback but I’m really disappointed in the hotel reservations people and Virgin holidays. I feel really let down. I asked if we could be moved to a pool view room and was told it was not possible and also took this up with Virgin with no success. To be frank I’d never have booked this hotel if I’d known we would be given rooms in this location. Really disappointed. Read less

The food is fantastic, every cocktail is made with care, the a la carte restaurants are 5 star. The beach is suitable for non-swimmers, easy to get in and out of, fairly calm thanks to the breakwater. We love that there is no music on the beach, just the relaxing sounds of nature. You can get a chair and umbrella on the beach any time of day, no need to get up at the crack of dawn. This was our second time and we can't wait to go back. Read less

Very friendly staff. Great variety of food and dining experiences. Rooms and resort very clean. Well placed for local visits to Garrison UNESCO World Heritage Site and to see the swimming horses at Pebbles Beach. Just a great vibe and feel to the resort.

The best buffet food ever and we have been to many destinations. Also the hotel rooms all of a very good standard. We did get flooded due to heavy rain but were moved by the hotel twice, but we ended up on a first floor sea facing room. Entertainment also excellent, brilliant female group amongst them. Staff also felt comfortable to dance at their stations when service was quiet which was lovely to see. Easy access from and to the airport, just get a cab $35 each way. From the airport when you land has taxis just outside. Just ask the price and they take you straight to your hotel. There was a oriental and steak house themed restaurants that were also good, but I thought the buffet was better in my opinion. Sorry the small pub open to 1am was naff with a large screen TV with loud music. and in need of updating. You can walk to Browns beach and horse racing from the hotel or just pop on the local buses (little vans) to get to other parts of the island, they cram people in so be prepared and for loud music but you are very safe in Barbados. Lovely people everyone so polite and all say hello and welcome to their island when out and about. I recommend staying at this very friendly hotel. I would definitely go back. Read less

Staff brought out umbrellas so you don’t bake in the sun! The Reef buffet had plenty of options and a different theme nightly. Also went to the Collin’s snack shack for lunch. Had burgers and hotdogs and fries for a change. Ate at Sizzle steakhouse one night and the steaks were delicious!! Loved the nightly entertainment, super singers and 2 nights had dancers and fire eaters! All around wonderful vacation would definitely recommend!!!! Read less
