The All Inclusive Sugar Bay Barbados offers a delightful holiday base with an array of activities, four fantastic restaurants, tranquil Caribbean waters in a protected lagoon, and with Bridgetown only a 10-minute drive away, you will be spoilt for choice with things to do and see! Perfect for couples, friends and families, Sugar Bay oozes boho-chic style and radiates a serene atmosphere allowing you to completely unwind in paradise. Guest rooms suit all types of holidaymakers with spacious family suites ideal for larger groups, all of which have great views of the ocean, the pool or the lush, green gardens. Being just a few metres from the calmest seas of the south coast, water sports are very much the order of the day with plenty available. Aside from taking a swim in the cool Caribbean Sea, there are also two swimming pools to laze by and a fitness centre for enthusiasts. Otherwise, head to Karma Spa for a spot of well-deserved pampering. Whilst the adults are at play, the kids have their very own children’s club, offering beach games, competitions and opportunities for exploring. Teens aren’t left out; they can hang together in the clubhouse, an adult no-go area! Dining is a joy, as Sugar Bay Barbados boasts more dining options than most hotels in Barbados! Where is it

Overlooking the stunning beachfront and tranquil Caribbean Sea. The capital, Bridgetown, is only a 10-minute drive away. The south coast boardwalk is accessible from the beach offering a short walk along the ocean side to a variety of restaurants and bars. Transfer time from airport: 25 minutes.

138 rooms, all of which are air-conditioned with private balcony, TV, telephone, complimentary WiFi, mini-fridge, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, hairdryer and iron and board. Signature Room with pool or garden views and 1 king-size bed (twin beds available on request), sleeping maximum 2 adults.

All Inclusive of: breakfast, lunch and dinner, two specialty dining experiences (Sizzle Steak House and Umi; guests can choose two sushi experiences in Umi or two steakhouse experiences in Sizzle Steak House, or one of each. Only valid for stays of 7 nights or more), premium alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages. All entertainment and activities above unless stated otherwise.

Please note: guests can have additional specialty dining experiences at the cost of $25pp (payable locally, subject to change).

Deluxe Signature Rooms with pool or garden views and 1 king-size bed (twin beds available on request) and sofa bed. This room is larger in size than the Signature Room and sleeps maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Ocean Front Rooms overlook the beach and lagoon and have 1 king-size bed (twin beds available on request), sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ocean Front Honeymoon Suites overlook the beach and lagoon and have 1 king-size 4-poster bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Deluxe Ocean Front Room with 1 king-size bed (twin beds available on request) and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Family Suite with pool or garden views, a large living area with sofa bed and a separate bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults, 3 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 3 children.

Ocean Front Family Suites boast great views of the ocean, a large living area with sofa bed and a separate bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults, 3 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 3 children

2-Bedroom Suite with garden views, master bedroom with 1 king-size bed and additional bedroom with 1 queen-size bed plus a sofa bed in the separate living area, sleeping maximum 5 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.

2-Bedroom Ocean Front Suite with master bedroom with 1 king-size bed and additional bedroom with twin beds plus a sofa bed in the separate living area, sleeping maximum 6 adults, 3 adults and 3 children or 2 adults and 4 children.

La struttura del Sugar bay è sta un'ottima scelta . Molto pulita , bella la spiaggia ben curata ; durante il nostro soggiorno c'era sempre molto vento e mare mosso , il vento mitigava il caldo del sole il mare agitato non ci ha fatto godere appieno la spiaggia. Abbiamo visitato l'isola e devo dire che tutta la gente di Barbados si è dimostrata cordiale , sempre sorridente e disponibile. Abbiamo girato un po' anche in bus ed è stata un'esperienza positiva . Nel tour in auto ( la mattina purtroppo piovigginava ) ho notato la guida senza stress dei locali , mentre devo dire che la qualità delle strade non è proprio delle migliori , anzi , forse le più brutte che ho trovato ( Cuba era un po' messa peggio ) ; ma abbiamo scoperto località non pubblicizzate , veramente bella ! Bella l'esperienza del tour con il sottomarino ! Volevamo vedere l'isola anche dal mare , ed abbiamo scelto un catamarano non proprio affollato , ottima scelta ! Read less

The room was excellent - well appointed, clean and with a very comfortable king-size bed. It had a fridge, a safe and tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom had a walk-in rainforest shower. The best feature of the resort was the food, which was outstanding. The quality and variety of the ingredients, the preparation and the service were faultless at all three meals. However, the resort is let down by the main pool, which is far too shallow (2 to 3 feet) so it is more of a paddling pool than a swimming pool. It has a prominent sign saying “The swim-up bar pool is an adult-only pool. Children under 16 years are not permitted.” Despite this, the pool was full of children even occupying the bar stools at times. The staff took no action to enforce the rule. Another prominent sign says “At Sugar Bay we only acknowledge bums saving loungers, not towels, bags or books.” Again, this was ignored by the staff and all the loungers were reserved by various means by 07.00 every morning. There are no showers or toilets at the pool - a significant omission for a bar pool. It was disappointing that for a resort of this size there is no guest laundry on site. Laundry is sent to an outside company (US$25 for a small bag) and is returned roughly folded, not ironed. Lastly, beware of a large tree at the end of the bar area beside the stage. It has tables under it. It sheds sticky resinous sap on unsuspecting guests, leaving stains on clothes which are impossible to remove. When we informed the management of this and suggested that at least a sign should be posted to warn of this problem, we were rudely told that they were unaware of the problem. This is clearly untrue as the ground, decking and tables around the tree are covered in stains from the sap and several returning guests and members of staff told us they were aware of it. Read less

From checking in to checking out the sugar bay was a fantastic vacation, the hotel is very modern and clean was at a other hotel last year and did not think it could be better, but how wrong could you be the sugar bay as everything, great food ,restaurants lovely gardens good beach very clean, the staff are fantastic never stop, the lads on the beach bring you a parasol in the morning, come round with cold towels and cold spray in the day, there is a good choice of drinks and cocktails at the bar , the staff all ways look happy in their work all ways speak, polite friendly and asking if you need anything, the grounds are well looked after and nice the pool is very clean and looks well, there are loads of great things you could say about sugar bay Barbados, but you will be here all day so just want to say a massive thank you to all from the cleaning lady to Justin in the buffet restaurant David at the bar and you can not forget Pedro, Hope to see you all again . We have just returned from our’Holiday of a lifetime’ and Sugarbay did not disappoint. In fact it exceeded all our expectations. Very good under any facts, very kindly people, food and beverages. Sunset and sea are absolutely wonderful from here. Cleaning is perfect! My personal adivice is also to try Karma spa in Hotel We will come back for sure. A greeting to Justin and at all watersport team!
