The hotel

Using minimalism to maximum effect, the sculptural ice-white architecture and matching monochrome interiors of Óleo Cancún Playa give it a calm chicness that’s a far cry from the buzz and colour of your setting — right at the start of the famously vibrant Cancún Hotel Zone. The dedication to ‘white’ is only really interrupted by flashes of blue — homage to the sea and surf just steps from the hotel. Overlooking the beach, the infinity pool adds a touch more turquoise, with the pool bar’s tropical-inspired cocktails adding their own shots of colour. The styling may be minimalist, but the features aren’t. Located in the Cancun Hotel Zone, on a ribbon of shoreline tucked between the Caribbean and Nichupte Lagoon. A short distance from major shopping centres, restaurants and entertainment. Transfer time from airport: 15 minutes.

The Junior Suite Sunset offers a wide space with minimalist decoration. The sofa bed fits 1 kid up to 8 years old.

Guests staying in the Mexican state Quintana Roo are required to pay a travel tax of $11 per adult (over 15 years old). The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during your stay, as the tax will be imposed upon departure. There is also an additional Environmental Sanitation Tax of $4.25 USD per room, per night that will be added to your hotel bill (payable locally, subject to change).

Excellent service and the most friendly staff. Our room was very clean with a beautiful view. All the main areas were always clean as well. The workers are always offering to help and always greets you with a smile and friendly conversation.

Stephanie was so helpful and accommodating i highly recommend this resort!! It’s all inclusive and the people are so friendly and provide such a quick and easy service. I would suggest coming here for a get away if you enjoy quick and convenient services :)

We had a AWESOME time. Clean and neat. The bartender Enrique Bar was Friendly and great. We will be back for some more GREAT times and experience. My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation! The views were amazing we walked the beach in the morning to watch the sunrise/sunset.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Oleo! The food was delicious, the drinks were out of this world, and I have to give a special shoutout to Enrique Bar—he makes the most incredible Apple Martini! Honestly, he’s the only bartender I wanted mixing my drinks all night long! What an unforgettable experience!
