If I could give this place negative stars I would. First off I have been to Cancun/mexico many times and to many different areas/resorts, so when I tell you this place is bad - it’s bad. We came here for a wedding so we didn’t have a choice in the resort as guests but Here are some highlights that I hope will help you make a better decision: - The rooms are absolutely disgusting in the colonial section - we had about 10+ rooms and every single one of them was outdated, smelled bad, molded (black mold in bathrooms), the beds were uncomfortable and squeaky, bedding and pillows smelled like mold, there is absolutely no lighting so you feel like you’re in a dungeon and not a tropical vacation. -bottled water is like gold here. I have never been to a resort where you have to beg for water. We were so dehydrated every single day because there’s no bottled water to be found anywhere. Room service would some days leave us two bottles in the fridge, Some days they wouldn’t even leave one, one day we asked them for it and they said they don’t have any so we didn’t get any for 2 days. You then have to walk to lobby to ask at bar and it’s 50/50 chance if they have any bottles or not. There are no bottles of water at beach - the beach service is non existing - if you want to drink something you have to go up to bar and ask for a drink. If you’re lucky you will get a bartender to come to you maybe once a day or once every 2/3 days. Even if you tip them really good - food is horrible, I have never been to a resort with such a horrible selection at buffets, there was absolutely nothing that was edible, the selection was so poor and nothing tasted good. I got sick of eating bread and butter for every single meal. The only edible food was at the sports bar but you will wait an hour+ to just get some fries and chicken tenders. Towards the end of our trip half of our group had some kind of stomach issues -trolleys - this resort is huge, getting a trolley is so hard as they’re very selective who they take, even if the trolley is empty some trolleys wont take you as they’re marked for privileged guests. The day I got sick we begged an empty trolley to take us to our room and explained I wasn’t feeling good and he wouldn’t even stop for us. There is so much more that I could comment on, unfortunately nothing positive but to summarize I wouldn’t come back to this resort if it was free. Please spend your hard earned money and vacation days anywhere but here. Read less

Little bugs in the bathroom, crummy restaurants, fees for things that should have been free, and so on.

Came here for a wedding and I’ve only been here for about 4 hours and it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had as a traveller. The hotel arranged our private airport transfer - after over an hour of waiting we’re told that there’s “traffic” and then “mechanical issues” with our private transfer and asked if we can do a shared shuttle service instead. When speaking to the other passengers we found out that they had the same issue and were told the same excuses about their private transfer. We’re all staying at the same hotel. Once arriving to the hotel we are waiting to check in for another hour because they could not find our room reservation. Once we finally got our room we had trouble locating it on the property and when we asked several bell hops for assistance we received no help. The rooms are extremely outdated, the beds are not comfortable (I can feel the spring) and there are no elevators. The food is disgusting and there are long wait times for the one buffet on the property. I’ve been here for 4 hours and if I wasn’t here for a wedding I would have never booked this hotel and I recommend no one ever stays here. As someone who has stayed in countless of 5-star resorts, this place has more in common with a motel 6 or a super 8 than any 5-star resort I have been to across the world. Read less
