The best service and the friendliest staff around by far! Paola & Moisés are top notch! If we go on another family vacation this is the destination we will definitely visit again. Thank you for treating us like family. We appreciate everyone on the resort.

The finishing on the headboard of the bed was coming off. The Bathroom had a wooden piece essentially broken. Our safe broke with our belongings in it. The service was even worse than how the hotel looked which I didn’t think was possible. At the restaurants we had to ask 3 different times for waters for the table and then another 4 times for spoons when our soup arrived. They didn’t clean our rooms until 5 pm some days. Read less

Went with another couple who had previously been her years ago. I have travelled all over Riviera Maya and this was just not what I expected. First thing to remember is the resort is divided into two sections. Adults only and family. I will give you more on that later. We check in which was fairly easy. then we get passed to someone whose job was vacation planner. She immediately started the hard sell on becoming a rockstar club member. After being told uno at least 10 times she finally stopped asking. She was supposed to send daily event newsletters. After day 2 I had to ask as they never came. We go to our room . We had reserved a two story suite with the upstairs deck and tub. we had requested a specific building a did the other couple we were traveling with but absolutely nothing came of that. First thing I noticed when we got to the room was the stairs are painted almost black and there is one tiny light at the top of the stairs. The stairs are uneven and just slightly dangerous. when we got to the top of the stairs we had to use our entire body weight to open the door and then it scraped against the floor, The floor to the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We went back down to reception and requested another room. No apologies but they did give us another room. I left the card on the bed for clean sheets and it took 3 days for that to happen. I know this because there was a spot on the sheet that was there for the first 3 days We had no housekeeping the 3 days . I finally called down and made sure someone got to our room. We went without any soap shampoo or conditioner in the dispensers the entire time we were there. Each day I left a note with a tip for the cleaning staff but it seemed to make no difference. There's an adults only pool which is very nice . Service around the pool was very good. But if you dont get out by 6 am all the chairs around are spoken for. By day 4 the pool needed a really good cleaning. Bugs and debris from work being done was all over the pool.Drinks at the pool were good and the guys working the pool bar worked their butts off. Adults only restaurants. There are a few but a good portion of the restaurants allow children. I found them very loud almost cafeteria style noisy. Food was ok. At many of the restaurants the salads and appetizers were rinse and repeat. there was no enjoying a relaxing meal. It was order everything at once and turn the table as quick as possible. Again the staff was extremely pleasant and hard working. If you are looking for a beach this is not your resort, The beach is a bunch or rocks and has little inlets of water. The family section is fairly large and I can see where this would appeal to families looking to get away. They were doing a lot of painting while we were there but all in all the resort feels dirty and just run down. My recommendation especially if you are looking for a kid free vacation do book here Read less

We recently stayed at the Hard Rock Mayan Riviera with a group of 57 for our destination wedding, we had a wonderful experience! The beach was amazing, kids were able to enjoy it daily (very clean!). The resort itself was clean and had many activities and the best entertainment, our wedding was simply a dream come true- the staff did a great job coordinating, DJ played exactly what we wanted and our photographer, Jose, from JJ Studios, was nothing short of fantastic- he made us have fun while taking photos and we felt comfortable, not to mention they turned out so beautiful! Our only issue was with a guests room and the slow response time from maintenance, otherwise, we would highly recommend this hotel. Read less
