Haven’t been on my trip but I need to give major props to Sabine Adolphy the general manager for the resort. She does things the right way and makes each guest feel important. Looking forward to my visit to Royalton so far the experience has been wonderful!

I never write reviews however feel compelled on this vacation stay. The Royalton Saint Lucia is deserving of commentary. We have been pleasured with many Caribbean vacations. All other locations while have issues are typically material related. Here at the Royalton Saint Lucia it is the staff. During our stay we had but three staff members that were as one would expect. Exceptions are the cleaning staff. All and I mean ALL other staff are borderline arrogant. There is no sense of customer service even in normal day to day activities. We have never experienced such ignorance to customer service in our lives. It must be a cultural thing clearly driven by management. Not a single smile, not a single “how was your flight”. No common courtesy whatsoever. We had the feeling of complete indifference and any question or request we had was met with the attitude that “we” were putting them out of their way. From a dining perspective, we found it odd that most don’t tip. This resonated as unusual to our normal experience on past vacations. Only to realize why one would not tip. The servers are indifferent. They just don’t care. Not even a smile or greeting. The front desk staff were down right rude. Not sure of her name but the lady with the large black rimmed glasses took the cake. Even just common conversation was met with a negative attitude and the presentation that “we” were being a burden upon them. While certain individuals displayed this attitude more than others it was across the board. We met possibly four staff members who were friendly and courteous. Again we are not saying or expecting anything special. The customer facing staff were outright rude. We have no high expectations however one would think a smile be a prerequisite to being a customer facing hotel staff member. As a Cabot golf participant I certainly do not expect the level of customer service that they offer but mere common courtesy is. Another point I will say is we had a three night stay and attempted to book and al-a-carte restaurant. We were told there was no availability for a week. How can one advertise these inclusions only to be told they are not available. As luck would have it the exact moment we were trying to book in person another couple canceled so we were able to get their seating. We enthusiastically arrived for our seating. Get this. I have a pan video. The entire time we sat, ordered, ate and paid there were two other tables in the entire restaurant. No word of a lie. I have the video. Two tables in the entire place and they INSISTED that they could not accommodate my wife and I for a seating. It was mind blowing. This just goes in line step with the lack of customer service and attitude of the entire resort. Royalton Saint Lucia and ALL its staff , management included, has no perception of customer service whatsoever. We are writing an honest review. We were not looking for anything special. Had no special requests not met. Just stating our experience. On a positive note the grounds are impeccable, the rooms very nice and very clean. The property is beautiful however has a very small beach. Clean and clear but do not expect “long” walks on the beach. The buffet was good. Breakfast was on par or better than most other vacations we have taken. We would never go back nor recommend this property. In fact I would highly encourage anyone looking to book this property to look elsewhere. We had the opportunity to visit the Landing resort. While slightly more costly we suggest “you get what you pay for”. Spend the extra money and select the Landing or Sandals. Read other reviews and trust them. If you don’t care about customer service just want unlimited buffet and drinks, not interact with anyone, and have a nice place to sleep. The Royalton might be for you. If you expect something more in the slightest. Look elsewhere. Speaking to Cabot individuals directly. Do NOT book this property you will NOT be satisfied. Read less

Upgraded to diamond club which cost us £1200 and was given a junior suite in block 7 with swim up room which we never used once due to the swim up pool being in the shade the entire day and the water was freezing. Our walls in the room was covered in mold . Also it was my birthday while we was at the resort . We was out on an excursion for day and came back to the room where I found a piece of paper ripped from a dairy and a birthday message written on it . Thoroughly disappointed and I would never consider going back to be honest. The whole of the 2 blocks which are diamond club which are blocks 6 & 7 are in the shade the whole day so a total waste of money . Read less
