The hotel
Living up to its ‘authentically Bali’ mantra, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa - Handwritten Collection feels like a reincarnated Balinese palace. Every element’s lavish, with its three exquisite tree-fringed pools, sumptuous spa, gym, and seven bars and restaurants all adding to the fantastical feel. But nothing’s quite as regal as its grounds, where tropical greenery spills over balconies, tumbles through gardens, and comes to rest on the pure white sands of its beach. The effect’s a serene setting for garden tours, coconut leaf weaving, and traditional dance classes – and for Gecko Club’s child-focused island experiences. Inside its nine hectares, a dramatic temple-like structure splits to reveal an elaborate lily pond festooned with water features; Balinese guest rooms (including Butler-served Club rooms) divulge garden, pool, or beach scenes; and the incredible bamboo web of its double-decked brasserie opens up to hypnotic Indian Ocean views.

Located on Bali’s southern peninsula. Transfer time from Ngurah Rai International Airport: 15 minutes via the Bali Mandara toll road.

382 rooms and suites styled with Balinese touches, including carved wood features. All with private balcony, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar fridge and safe. Deluxe rooms with balcony, garden views and either 1 king-size bed, or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.
All Inclusive option: includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and free flow of non alcoholic and selected alcoholic beverages (excluding mini-bar and room service).
Meals must be taken at designated venue. Meals and beverages must be consumed at the outlet, take away is not allowed.
Half board option: includes a three-course set lunch or dinner from the special menu in Maguro Asian Bistro, Tamarind Mediterranean Brasserie and Raja's Balinese Cuisine. It is also available for all theme dinners including the cultural show.

Lovely well secured resort. Travelling with a 4 and 6 year old felt very comfortable here.
The rooms were a great size very clean and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for more at breakfast the food and staff were fantastic. The squirrels kept us all entertained.

Couldn't ask for more at breakfast the food and staff were fantastic. The squirrels kept us all entertained.
The grounds were in excellent condition and the pools were perfect. Lovely walks along the foreshore and a short stroll to the markets and outside restaurants.
We mainly ate at the resort and the food and different restaurants were great.
Transport to excursions was easily done.

The room was very dark, but okay - with a nice garden outlook - staff friendly - Breakfast choice / service was the most impressive ever - it was worth going just for breakfast. We only went to the Balinese restaurant at the hotel during our stay - service was impressive - food was pretty bland - and just okay. Prices at this resort for food and beverage more expensive than anything else we'd experienced in Bali. Beach was beautiful & clean - which was a nice change from other beaches we'd experienced in Bali - also nice to only have a handful of hawkers driving you crazy whilst sun-bathing !

Excellent resort with so much activities to do - had 3 to 4 big swimming pools, direct access to the beach and great gym facilities including virtual golf, squash and tennis! We did not leave the resort for the entire week, apart from a shopping trip to the locket market/shops which the hotel had a direct shuttle to.

Highly recommend doing an all inclusive package - there's 4 excellent restaraunts to choose from and there was so much food provided that we had to ask for less! The quality of the food was amazing.
Service was outstanding - everyone from cleaners to chefs and management were all so friendly and would smile and greet us each time we walked past.

First time staying and it won’t be the last time. Loved the entire time here and didn’t need to leave the resort because everything we need is here. Great atmosphere, tasty restaurants and 10/10 guest service and smiley staff. The golf simulator was a big highlight for us as well. Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday.

Reality, 3.5 star resort which needs updating and renovation. The nearby Beach is great and the staff is polite and friendly. Overall food is ok and pool area fine as well. Food and drinks compared to the quality are highly overpriced. Suggest to visit the spa as well, it's quite alright.
