The hotel

The gorgeous gardens and pools at Krabi La Playa Resort provide a great getaway, offering up endless hours of relaxation. One of the resort’s swimming pool is pretty traditional, a series of interconnecting pools accompanied by sunbeds, poolside dining, and swim-up bar with the other ‘Emerald Pool’ is something a bit different. Both stretch right up to some of the hotel’s renovated rooms and suites, allowing guests to step right into the water from their terrace. The two acre gardens are just as inviting, with their own bar and seating spots. And, if that’s not quite enough space to relax, you could always head to the sands of Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara beaches, 150 meters away, with shopping, dining and nightlife nearby.

Nice room, friendly staffs..excellent service. Smooth check in and check out. The room was available on time from 2.00pm. The staffs were very helpful when asking for airport transport and also motorcycle for rent. The location not in front of the main road but not far to walk, just 2 minutes can see the main road.

Very good hotel, the rooms are clean and the staff is very kind and helpful. The location is exellent, its near everything. Ao Nang Beach is 5 min away, and the main street also, its great. If we Are going back, we will book this place again, recommend!!!

it was our second visit to this hotel. The hotel is nice in a good location. you can walk everywhere. The staff is very nice and helpful. the room is cleaned every day. The breakfast is good, you can choose it. If you are tired, you can relax by the pool. we were very satisfied here

This hotel has many good points, coupled with some obvious improvement points. Firstly the good. The rooms are spacious and cool and the main ( blue pool) is superb. We had a room leading onto this pool and it was excellent . The location is close to a busy road so shops and restaurants are all just 3 minutes away. The setting of the hotel, with regard the trees and natural flora , is also superb . Parts of it have an almost jungle feel to it. Staff are nice and reception has an events desk. Despite these positives the hotel has more of a 3 star feel to it. There are many reasons for this . Firstly the breakfast facilities are frankly poor. Coffee machines from the eighties that don’t contain milk! No chance of a latte or cappuccino here . Buckets of filter coffee though . Choice of food is also poor and often run out. It’s true that when we were there , there were some “ very hungry” guests, but still odd to constantly run out of food . The quality of some things such as pastries was also very cheap. The on site gym is also virtually unusable . A small glass box with old random equipment. Luckily there is a good gym nearby but this shouldn’t really be needed. The location is also quite a way from the public beach. A beach where there are no sunbeds so only the brave can venture out during the day. However sunsets at these beaches were superb. The hotel also suffers from “ towelitis”, so by 8 am all main beds are towelled up but few people are in sight. I know it’s a common issue but this hotel seems to tolerate it more than others. All in all it is a nice hotel, although a flawed hotel. I don’t think it warrants 4 stars at all. Closer to 2.5 but rounded up to 3 due to the spacious and cool rooms. If you are expecting high end luxury with great beach views, then this isn’t the place for you. Read less

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and it was a really lovely experience. The staff are so kind, rooms are also very clean and get cleaned every day. The pool is nice and big and the food is very nice. Definitely recommend this hotel!
