I booked this hotel for our family group of 8 people and stayed from 28th December until 3rd January. We arrived at the hotel early and left our bags at reception after being told to return at the check in time 2pm this was great as we had time to go for lunch, we returned at 2pm and were told our rooms were still not ready so we relaxed in reception. After about 15 minutes a member of staff came and said we could not sit around in reception and pointed us in the direction of another area we could sit, I found this a bit rude as the only reason we were siting in reception was the rooms not being ready. After another 10 minutes they told us the rooms were ready but after checking in for 1 room we were told the other 3 rooms would be another 15 minutes. One couple in our party made there way to the room and the porter arrived with everyone's bags and dumped them in the first room and was adamant everyone would have to come and collect them when the rooms were ready. I then had to make a complaint with the manager back at reception to have the bags collected and delivered to the correct rooms, this was not a good start to our stay. The only other complaint I would have about the hotel is there are a limited number of sun loungers and only 20% of them are in a sunny position, there is a rule that you can only leave them for 30 minutes but if you are not up by 9am you have got no chance and they are all reserved with the placement of towels. We booked the hotel because of the pool area but had to spend most days on the beach because of this reason, as you can imagine the staff do not want to enforce the 30 minute rule as the would involve having to remove clean towels and put them in the dirty towel basket.
