We got an oceanfront room and it was amazing! If you’re looking for a more tranquil view and not wanting to people watch i recommend a room that doesn’t overlook the pool and cruise ship docs, other than that it was phenomenal. Can walk to anything and everything!

Staff is wonderful, and the location is great. Restaurant is the best, and having a night-cap at the Hotel bar is a great way to end the day. The views of the Sunset on the Gulf of MEXICO are breathtaking, and you can enjoy the sights and sounds from Mallory Square from the comfort of your room.

Beautiful hotel right on the water. Sunset Pier has a bar and every night a different band, and a great view of the sunset! We loved our room, and the massage I got at the on-premises spa felt wonderful! The location was a great base for seeing many of the famous places in Key West.

My husband and I spent three nights at Ocean Key to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we checked in we felt like we were being welcomed back home even though it was our first time to the property. Emma helped us store our bags and get pool towels as our room wasn’t quite ready since it was only noon. We enjoyed a welcome drink and then off to the pool where time flew by and when our room was ready (just a short hour later) we were enjoying the laid back vibe and wonderful service from Jess at the pool too much to leave. Eventually of course we went to our room, and it was huge and the oceanfront view from our balcony was stunning! We enjoyed room service on the balcony one morning and also had breakfast at Hot Tin Roof another morning. Both were delicious and food came quickly! We had drinks on the pier each night and the bartenders were super fast and attentive. The grounds were immaculate and felt very lush and tropical. We also enjoyed a surprise in our room each evening from turn down service. I can’t say enough amazing things about this property. We are Floridians and come to Key West a few times per year. We will only return to Ocean Key now, as the bar has been raised from the previous places we’ve stayed. One last thing if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the property even before you arrive. I had a request to carry out a surprise for my husband to make our anniversary that much more memorable and the director of front office operations was incredibly helpful and made it happen! The resort was excellent. Perfect comfort and staff friendliness. We loved watching the sunset from our ocean view balcony. Room was large and the bed so comfortable. Pool was great and service was wonderful. So easy to check in and out. The bike rental was simple.
