We got a great deal booking through AARP. My cousin who lives in Fort Lauderdale told us this was a wonderful hotel in a great location, and he was right. From the moment we walked in and saw the lobby decorated for Christmas, we were hooked. Alan at the front desk provided amazing customer service. The room was large and well-appointed. Everything you could want is right outside the door, whether you're looking for shopping and a meal on Las Olas Boulevard, or if you want to hop on a water taxi. We learned the Christmas boat parade had been held the night before. This would be a great location to watch the event. We love a hotel that is unique rather than cookie-cutter, and the Riverside fit the bill. Our only regret is that we just stayed one night.

Cheap mgmt has no free water and no water fountain in bldg

They don't have a place to drink water for free. Not a single fountain in the building. Bulls***. Tap water is yellow, and they have water bottles for $7 in the room. Highway rip off, would not recommend staying. Room quality is lousy, found hairs everywhere in the bathroom and the lights flickered. Would not come back.

Had a great time here until the last night where my partner had an interaction with an unprofessional member of security who proceeded to start to cry, play the victim and because she hurt her neck. If your neck hurts don't come into work and take it out on paying guests. Very unprofessional, and was upsetting for a repeat guest like my partner. All other staff were good and doing great job however it's the negative experiences that always stand out.

Location was perfect! Clean, nicely updated rooms. Comfortable beds. Felt very safe - even had to have a room key to go up in the elevator. Staff super helpful and professional. Will stay again - close to everything. Many good restaurants, bars and coffee shops. They had a great happy hour at their on-site bar.
