The hotel

This resort nestles along a ¼-mile stretch of sugar white sand at the tip of Estero Island on Florida’s popular Gulf Coast. The resort is spread out over a generous 12 acres on which you’ll find the fun-filled Octopool freeform pool featuring waterfall, giant shells, sponges and more. Relax around one of the three swimming pools or for the more energetic, enjoy a sailing lesson at the resort’s exclusive offshore sailing school.

195 rooms and suites in 3 buildings each with 2 lifts. All with private balcony, air-conditioning, flat screen TV with on demand movies and Chromecast streaming device, coffee/tea making facilities, in-room safe, kitchenette with hob and fridge, complimentary WiFi access, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.  

Deluxe Gulfview Rooms overlook the Gulf of Mexico and pool, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

2-Bedroom White Sand Villas are located in the main building above the Octopool, with a fully-equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, large living and dining room, and a private balcony with gulf and pool views, with 1 king-size bed in the master bedroom and 2 double beds in the second bedroom, sleeping maximum 6 adults or 2 adults and 4 children.

Trolley service (7:00am-9:00pm daily) around Estero Island costing 70c per trip. Complimentary self-parking.

Rae's Real Italian (beachfront dining, wine and specialty cocktails, open for dinner). Bongo’s Bar and Grill (open for lunch and dinner). Jack's Restaurant (serving complimentary daily breakfast buffet with waterfront views). Bob's Beach Bar (serving cocktails and small plates directly on the beach). Pool and beach waiter service.

Live music at Bongo's Bar and Grill (selected evenings). Daily events schedule which includes dive-in movies, arts and crafts, nature discovery walks, and pool games.

3 swimming pools and 2 hot tubs (one pool and one hot tub are in the Adult only (17+) section). Secluded beach with beach chairs and umbrellas. Complimentary kayak and paddle board rentals (one rental per person, per day). Beach volleyball. Water sports including parasailing* and wave runners*. Fitness centre. Went on a wonderful kayak trip with Ranger Rob from the Pink Shell. He was helpful and supportive to first time kayakers while making it fun and interesting for those of us with more experience. He is so knowledgeable about the plants and animals that you learn a lot while enjoying the water!

Pink Shell Beach Resort - I greatly appreciate you; all of you who work within this resort community! Recently I called and spoke to Jade, a reservation specialist to see about an adjustment of a rate due to posting a 25% off reservation special. Jade proved to be professional, expeditious, and detailed with the information. Additionally, she offered to allow me to speak to a Supervisor (my apologies as I do not recall the name), who listened to my request fully and approved the rate reduction. Are these all basic skills that professional customer service minded employees should possess? Yes, however not all customer service employees act in a professional and courteous manner. THIS right here is the essence of a true positive customer experience - one that continues to cultivate meaningful and purposeful engagements. Thank you Pink Shell, thank you, Jade, and thank you to the Supervisor who assisted me on Thanksgiving Day. Went on Ranger Rob’s kayak tour on Thanksgiving 2024 and he extended the tour to make sure we were able to see a dolphin! His knowledge is top notch, and he was a stellar guide! It was a beautiful morning for a kayak and an amazing tour highly recommend!

EXCELLENT HOTEL, FOOD AND SERVICE. ESPECIALLY THE BARTENDER SARA FROM BUFFALO NEW YORK, WHO WENT OUT OF HER NORMAL DUTIES TO CALL US A GOLF CART FOR A TRIP TO OUR ROOM. WE WERE EXHAUSTGED FROM TAKING CARE OF KIDS DUE TO AN ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY. SARA WAS TERRIFIC. THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF ALSO WAS VERY ATTENTIVE TO DETAILS.
