A very classy hotel, high quality food and drinks. Was very pleased with the pool and pool staff. But with convenience comes a price tag, so just expect that coming into it if you want to get food/drinks poolside. We went there for our 40th anniversary for two nights while also spending times in other parts of Florida. We didn't arrive till Apr. 1:30am due to Fox rental cars at the Tampa airport gave out all their vehicles even after I prepaid for a SUV back in March. We went there for our 40th anniversary for two nights while also spending times in other parts of Florida. We didn't arrive till Apr. 1:30am due to Fox rental cars at the Tampa airport gave out all their vehicles even after I prepaid for a SUV back in March. We had a ocean view king size room that had white robes and slippers to use. My wife enjoyed them. The place was very nice even after just being hit with 2 hurricanes in few weeks of each other. You could still see the devastation just blocks away. I thought the 40 dollar a night parking fee was rather high but maybe I"m not use to it. They did slip a Happy Anniversary card under the door and left us to drop and pickup our luggage a few hours after checkout which was a nice touch. I would stay here again if we were in the area. This was the 6th year that I have brought my children down to Clearwater to start our year out on the right foot. We have stayed at the Wyndham Grand each and every year. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We always seem to meet someone from Ohio during our stay! Everyone was fantastic during our annual stay. We have gotten to know one particular employee very well over the years. Marty has watched my kids grow up over the years and always welcomes us with a smile and great conversation! Being a fellow Ohio native, we both share in the misery of being a Browns fan.(This year may have been the toughest season to date) Marty went out of his way this year to send a very nice snack and drink assortment up to our room! Such a fantastic gesture from an even better man! If you ever get the opportunity to spend a moment with him, you will have a friend for life! Read less

Not a 4 star hotel in my view.. shabby lobby and worn seating, we couldn’t use the a pool or the tiny hot tub since it was continuously infested with screaming children. I’m sorry but why children allowed in hot tubs. Room lacked basic amenities like an extra chair at the corner table bathroom basic nothing special. Beware regarding the bogus… Read more

Beware regarding the bogus 19% service charge added to the bill for everything meals, drinks etc. and are expected to tip on top of that! And lastly the $40 a day resort fee how ridiculous especially for the reason that we could not use the pool or hot tub never used the beach chairs and we are still expected to pay. Clean, new, staff that goes above and beyond. Facilities offered are wonderful. Pool, jacuzzi. Didn’t visit the gym but wish I did.
