The hotel

Great as a base, the Avanti Resort is set in the heart of International Drive, in the middle of all the attractions and entertainment you could ask for. Not only are you right there for all the major theme parks, but you’ve also got movie theatres, restaurants galore, clubs and bars to cover the whole family’s entertainment. There's plenty to enjoy at the resort as well, with a large pool, sandy man-made beach with sun terrace and loungers, a gym, and a games room for the youngsters. You might want to extend your holiday to fit all of that in!

652 rooms. All with air-conditioning, flat-screen cable TV, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms have either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Accessible rooms available on request, subject to availability.

I've stayed at this hotel several times, and I loved it every time. Everyone there is Great,from the front desk employees to the behind the scenes employees. The staff,the service the Live Entertainment is always Awesome!!!!! And so is the price!!! I give this hotel 5 Stars and counting.

We had great stay at avanti. It is conveniently located near tons of restaurants and local attractions just steps away. At first i couldn't get my door to open and went to the office and security was there to assist me before I could walk back to my room which was one of the closest rooms to the office. I went to check out and they said it was express check out and no need to waste our beautiful day taking time to check out. I have seen negative reviews and as a picky person I was very pleased with my stay. It was quite,comfortable,clean and very safe. For the the price compared to near by hotels you cant beat it! We loved this hotel. The location was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. The reason we wouldn’t return is because of the resort fee. $250 each. That’s $1000 on top of our original bill. Other hotels close by don’t charge this so unfortunately we have to look elsewhere.

I recently booked a trip through Priceline and my family was to stay at the Avanti resort from 2/17-2/24 but due to a unique issue at the hotel, my family and I had to check out 6 out of 7 days early (more on that below). The Good: Hotel appears to be recently renovated. The flooring, surfaces, restroom, television appear pristine. The room felt very clean. Rooms are competitively priced. The pool area looked clean as I walked by. There are complimentary shuttles to/from Universal & Disney complimentary (as part or a resort fee you pay daily on top of your room rate). There is a restaurant by the pool. There are a number of non theme park attractions nearby and many good restaurants. The Bad: The beds are a wooden frame with no box spring, there is about a six-inch-thick mattress on top. The Heating/AC Unit was not renovated and is extremely noisy when it kicks on or off. Also, a number of the rooms (half of 1 out of 4 buildings and the ends of two others), are adjacent to the extremely busy Florida Interstate 4. The night we did sleep there was not restful even with a white noise machine being brought from home. So now onto that unique issue (which in fairness is not something that would regularly happen at this or any hotel). Upon our check in the desk agent & past-dated letter on the floor of our hotel room informed us that on an unknown date between 2/17-2/21 hotel staff would be entering our rooms during unknown hour(s) from 9am-6pm to change the locks. We personally felt we needed more privacy and checked out after night 1 before the work began. I will say that there are opportunities here for future staff growth so that a guest would not have to check out (front desk reps can shift rooms or give access to safes or educate themselves on the specifics of a renovation to provide more information (these things were at the time not provided when I asked)). The problem with this is that we prepaid and so it took a number of weeks to get back the unused days (keeping it constructive, the desk staff could streamline access to hotel management or flag for follow-up if an issue is unresolved when a guest is leaving the desk) To the credit of the hotel management, they do review online posts and once they became aware of my issue, they reached out, apologized, and helped me navigate to the point of getting my money back for the unused days. Truly enjoyed the atmosphere and vibrant energy propelling throughout this resort. From the front desk, Shane’s friendly demeanor will make you feel at home. To the pool side, Jeff and yohan can whip any drink you want with a smile. Certainly recommend!
