We stayed for a week in a family room which was well apportioned and had good space. On arrival it was quite hectic and we were offered bell services drop-off our cases. We accepted thinking they'd follow shortly but in the end we had to track them down. Two double beds and a single sofa bed, storage space, wardrobes, fridge, and a bathroom where the toilet had a separate sliding door for privacy. We didn't spend a huge amount of time in the room but was very comfortable. Small balcony area. Various restaurant options on site. Grabbed coffee and some fruit one morning at the coffee bar on the first floor and was astonished to learn a single banana was $2.50! We also had takeaway in the Kona cafe once, and booked sushi dinner another night - the restaurant was busy and service a bit slow but the food was delicious. Pool area is stunning. There is a children's area with slides, and another pool which was quieter with more loungers and a cafe. The fish tacos were fab, but you needed to watch out for the birds stealing your chips! You can also order takeaway from the pool bar which we did one evening when the weather was bad. Poolside cocktails lovely too! Car park is big, so sometimes you had to park quite far from the entrance but spaces were always available. Easy access to monorail and therefore other hotels and the parks. Staff around the resort were friendly and it always looked clean and welcoming. We hoped to be able to organise a late checkout and put in a request but sadly it wasn't available the day we left. They can store your cases so you can grab a last few hours in the parks before heading to the airport. Was a lovely stay and we would return if in the area. Read less

Wonderful resort, clean spacious luxurious and absolutely gorgeous views and grounds. Food was amazing. Transportation is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was awesome plenty of seating. Would recommend. One downside is that the elevators are small though.

We were really looking forward to celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday at Disney, and I specifically chose the Polynesian Resort for its prime location and status as a deluxe hotel. However, our experience did not meet our expectations, especially given the premium price. When we arrived, we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until after 3 p.m., which was frustrating as we had plans for later in the day. I also found it disappointing that there was no greeting upon arrival, and we had to search for someone to assist us. A staff member, who was sitting and chatting with others, had leis available for guests, but we had to wait quite some time before my granddaughter could receive hers. As for the room itself, the noise was unbearable. We were consistently woken up at 5 a.m. by loud stomping and disruptions, which continued into the night. The noise wasn’t just limited to the morning—at night, the sounds of running footsteps, doors slamming, and even loud conversations from the room above us persisted well into the evening. We could hear every flush of the toilet, and during one shower, I overheard the guests next door discussing personal family issues. It felt like we were staying in a poorly soundproofed motel, rather than a deluxe resort. The constant noise left us exhausted, especially after long days at the parks. Given the price we paid (over $9,000 for 4 nights, 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 rooms), this level of discomfort was unacceptable. In terms of dining, we were disappointed with the quality of food at the sit-down restaurant. The sushi was comparable to supermarket-quality, and the sandwich we ordered was unappetizing. We left most of our food uneaten. The one bright spot was 'Ohana'—the food was good, and our waitress was delightful. Transportation was generally easy, but not as efficient as other resorts I’ve stayed at. Overall, I’d recommend considering a moderate hotel for a more pleasant experience. The constant noise—both day and night—along with the lack of hospitality and subpar dining, made the stay far less enjoyable than we had hoped. As I’m writing this, we’ve been up since 5 a.m. listening to the guests above us running around, flushing toilets, and having loud arguments. It honestly feels more like a motel than a luxury resort. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Read less
