The hotel

Situated on a sparkling 25-acre lake near Disney’s Hollywood Studios and just a leisurely stroll from EPCOT, discover this grand New England-style resort hotel. Disney's Yacht Club Resort shares a host of amenities with it's pastel-toned sister, Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Most noticeable of these is the mini water park Stormalong Bay, featuring a sand bottom pool, water slides, a lazy river and whirlpools - keeping the little ones happy when you're not at the parks. For adults there's plenty to do too, with the Ship Shape health club on site to work off some steam, or enjoy a mouth-watering steak dinner at the sophisticated Yachtsman restaurant. There's plenty of casual options too, along with tennis and volleyball courts to keep all ages entertained. At this hotel you're located right next to the marina where, in addition to renting boats to sail around Crescent Lake, you can board a ferryboat for direct transportation to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s BoardWalk. It's worth looking at the options to upgrade to a club level room for access to the lounge with refreshments available throughout the day.

But, Disney has really gone down hill. A deluxe resort should have decent coffee in the rooms, a couple of bottles of water, actual glasses, robes. Was disappointed to find out that the pool was closed, the entire reason we booked this particular resort, we had thought the front desk manager would care, but turns out he just preferred to let us know it had been posted on the website. We were disappointed, as we were celebrating our anniversary and made to feel like our expectations didn’t matter to the front desk manager in any way. At least the reception felt bad for us and upgraded our view after we were treated pretty badly by the manager. Disney has lost its magic-you need to pay for any little thing they do for you. You are better off booking the swan and dolphin resort(run by Marriott) in the same location. At least there we were upgraded, got bottled waters, and had robes available in our rooms. Specifically swan reserve was beautiful rooms and service. Disney lost its magic. You only pay for location Read less

The poor dogs barked all day until st least 11:30 pm. I brought a sound machine so it really helped tune them out! I just felt that it was sad for the long days the pets were left alone. The market side where food was available was not very good. The selections were more like a cheap diner. The regular restaurants were fantastic ! Service was excellent and quality was great. We’ve stayed at a lot of Disney deluxe properties but the Yacht Club is our favorite. It’s a short walk to EPCOT and a direct boat ride to Hollywood Studios. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a water view room which gave us a terrific view of the EPCOT fireworks. It’s also a short car ride to the other parks and Disney Springs.
