I could start writing and never end... this place is truly expectational, this is our second visit here and we will be back again in a heartbeat. The staff are amazing and they truly make your holiday, especially the Dhoni Bar staff. The cocktails and drinks are great. The food is amazing, there is no need to do the a la carte restaurants (although they are beautiful) as the buffet restaurants are just as exceptional. The snack menu is also good. We had a over water villa on the 300's I do think these could do with a little refurbishment (which I believe the 700's have just had) but they were immaculate and the mini bar is plentiful. Room service and housekeeping is also brilliant. The bed is also so comfortable, I haven't slept as well for years. We don't do a lot of water activities but this time my husband did the jet ski and got to see the dolphins, which he said was great. I was supposed to go to the spa which I didn't get to do, (which was no fault at all of the Island, it was for personal reasons), so I was disappointed as I did have a spa last time and it was so relaxing and the services they offer are great, Ill definitely do this next time though no matter what. The facilities are always immaculate all over the island I have nothing negative to say, it is like living in a postcard, I would defiantly recommend. Meeru has managed to stay like a proper desert Island holiday the floors are all sand and you feel like you are on a desert island its just like paradise. I hope Meeru doesn't ever try to compete with some of the bigger chain hotels that are now in the Maldives as if you want to stay in a fancy hotel you could do that anywhere in the world, Spain, Malta, America, ect, its not like being in a tower block typical hotel with chandeliers and fancy tiles its authentic but still in a posh way and this is the whole charm of Meeru... if any managers are reading this, Please never loose sight of that! We’re not ones usually for all inclusive trips but really wanted to experience the Maldives. Loved Meeru. It’s the only resort on the island and we were worried there might not be enough to do but this place didn’t disappoint. You can walk around the island in about 45 mins but usually took longer as we would stop and swim and snorkel whilst going around. The resort was 90% full but it really didn’t feel like it. No queues for anything, no need for people to reserve sun loungers (which is annoying anyway!), easy to find a quiet spot anywhere on the beach and feel like you are the only ones there. Beautifully clean, incredible staff who are all so friendly. Fabulous food, we debated about going all inclusive but so glad we did as drinks are expensive if you have to buy them. There was lots of choice on the AIP for food and drink. Wine was decent enough by the glass and the service was impeccable. With the AIP you can dine at the 4 table service restaurants around the island instead of having to go to the buffet restaurant. We like the personal experience of that and feeling like you are going somewhere new to eat. We only ate in the buffet twice. Food excellent but not much atmosphere. With AIP you can also have snacks in the day so we didn’t go to the buffet but ate at the bars by one of the pools. Again table service and the snack menu was awesome. Really enjoyed trying something different every day - it’s not your typical burger and chips menu! Also with AIP you get free house reef snorkelling, great experience - went 3 times. Also a sunset boat trip to see the dolphins, didn’t do any other excursions as all too expensive. Didn’t need to as you can snorkel from the beach - swam with a mantaray and reef sharks! Loads of evening entertainment if you want it. Something for everyone, golf, tennis, pool, darts, snooker, cocktails, gym, football etc etc. spa was lovely but only went once as again was expensive. That’s the only thing we paid for in ten days. Housekeeping really good, mini bar well stocked, bed amazingly comfortable. Loved it here, such a peaceful, relaxing trip! Read less

We got a late deal on a jacuzzi beach villa which was lovely, then paid $150 to upgrade to a water villa for our penultimate night and it was so much nicer, a truly different holiday experience to watch rays and sharks from the balcony and we watched the sunrise at 6am. WiFi was great everywhere. We loved that you can book to dine at the a la Carte restaurants every day if you want with plenty of choice included. We hardly used the buffet and never paid extra so all inclusive worked well for us. We also enjoyed free kayaking, free trips to snorkel the reef (not amazing due to recent coral bleaching but ok), free sunset cruise and saw dolphins. A great holiday Read less
