The hotel

Nestled on the secluded island of Kedhigandu, Hotel RIU Palace Maldivas offers an exclusive retreat where you can unwind in overwater villas or beachfront suites with modern comforts and breathtaking views. Featuring several dining options, including buffet and à la carte restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, you can also enjoy delicious meals and snacks at the neighbouring Hotel RIU Atoll as part of their 24-hour, All-Inclusive package. There are plenty of activities to enjoy too, both on land and in the water - relax by the infinity pool, or hop over to Hotel RIU Atoll to indulge in spa treatments, or make a splash with the water sports on offer such as snorkelling, diving, and kayaking.

Where is it

On the private island of Kedhigandu, part of Dhaalu Atoll. The resort is connected to the hotel RIU Atoll via a walkway. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 55 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

176 rooms. All with balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, drink dispensers, mini-bar, kettle, hairdryer, bathrobes, complimentary WiFi access, and safe. 

Junior Suites with sea views have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds, plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

24-hour All-Inclusive: all meals and snacks. Local and imported beverages served 24-hours a day (including bars and restaruants at Hotel RIU Atoll). Regularly restocked mini-bar. Sports, activities and entertainment unless otherwise stated. Room service.

- Breakfast: varied buffet, live cooking station and Cava

- Lunch: buffet with live cooking stations and assorted desserts

- Dinner: buffet with live cooking stations and assorted desserts. Special evenings: twice a week.

Junior Suites with beach access have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds, plus a sofa or sofa-bed in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Overwater Suites feature a terrace with bathtub, a Balinese bed, sun loungers and direct access to the sea. Suites have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Spacious Overwater Suites with private pool boast a patio with direct access to the sea, a small private pool, a Balinese bed and sun loungers. Suites have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Palm (buffet restaurant with live cooking stations and outdoor terrace, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Krystal (fusion restaurant, open for dinner). Yu Hi (Japanese restaurant, open for dinner). Paradise (poolside bar serving snacks and drinks, with swim-up bar for guests over 18 years).

Live music (several times a week). 

Infinity swimming pool. Sports and activities at RUI Atoll including: gym, group fitness activities in the RiuFit area (six times a week), Renova spa*, kayaks, pedaloes, stand up paddle surf and snorkelling equipment. Daytime entertainment programme for children ages 4-7 years and ages 8-12 years at "RiuLand" at Hotel RUI Atoll. 

Access to Hotel RIU Atoll located on the neighbouring island of Maafushi, which you can access by footbridge. Room service*. Complimentary WiFi throughout hotel. Laundry service*.

i was stayed for few days in riup palacealdives with my family , it was wonderful all the staff especially desi and otger staff cahmera same sanju ponum isuru chamika all the staff was very helpfuli would like to come back may be next time again , i would love to say this arr thebest service which ever i got in hotel

It is probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, with meticulous attention to detail both indoors and out. We had a wonderful 12 days at the 5 Star Riu Palace. The island and accommodation are stunning and the beaches breathtaking. It is probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, with meticulous attention to detail both indoors and out. The customer service is outstanding and the food exquisite in both the A La Carte restaurants and the buffet with regular delights such as lobster readily available. It was great to have access to the slightly larger 4 Star Riu Atoll island and the more lively entertainment and activities that took place there. We chose to walk across the bridge most of the time but the chauffeur driven golf buggies go up and down continuously so you always have a choice. On the more active days it was so nice to return to the more serene and tranquil atmosphere of the Riu Palace - known to the Atoll guests as "the private island" - they are not allowed to visit it :) If I had one very slight disappointment it would be that some of the activities - specifically beach volleyball - did not always take place as scheduled. Sometimes we chased up the staff and they then organised it. Other times they were simply just not around. This was particularly annoying when we had walked all the way across from the other island to play. But this was just a small annoyance when compared to all the other amazing experiences we enjoyed. This is the one hotel and location from all around the world that we have ever said we would like to return to someday soon. And we have been to lots of locations over the last 20 years! The loveliest staff and service of any resort I’ve stayed in so far. Particularly loved chatting to Desy in the evening 😊 Beautiful beach and sea life to see while snorkelling, as well as stunning weather! Room was spacious and food delicious. Not much more we could have asked for. Thank you Riu!

We are really enjoying at RIU palace Maldives..specially bar staff made our vacation perfect..I would like to mention some special persons at palace bar.. Romesh,chamara,marchee,dasun,poonum and Thanuka doing fantastic job in the morning..Beach service really nice.. Thanks to all of them for made our vacation super..
