Newly opened in November 2023, SO/ Maldives is a resort that epitomises luxury at every turn. Centred around arts and fashion, you're sure to feel like royalty from the moment you step foot in the arrival pavilion. This feeling is certainly no different when heading to your villa either... Each of the 80 villas are designed with a delicate, minimalistic touch and are curated with all the necessary amenities to ensure the perfect stay. Be it a Beach Villa or an Overwater Villa, the views are simply outstanding and stretch as far as the eye can see. So, it seems only right that they should be enjoyed from your villas own private pool. We think this makes for the ideal spot to grab those all important pictures, because it wouldn't be a trip the Maldives without letting your Instagram followers know, right?! SO/ Maldives is a luxurious resort, inspired by fashion and art. Each of the 80 villas are created with open plan living in mind and offer sensational views of the lagoon or beach. Each villa comes equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities and a safe. Lagoon Beach Pool Villas are 228 sqm and is complete with a private garden and plunge pool. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults.

Board basis options

Bed & Breakfast: breakfast is included at the Citronelle Club.

Half Board: inclusive of dinner with complimentary soft drink and drinking water during meal time at Citronelle Club and Hadaba except for highlighted supplement items.

Full Board: inclusive of lunch and dinner with complimentary soft drinks and drinking water during meal times. Dinner is fully inclusive at Citronelle Club and Hadaba. Lunch is fully inclusive, except for highlighted supplement items at Citronelle Club and Lazuli based on a special menu option.

All Inclusive: inclusive of lunch and dinner with complimentary select alcoholic beverages during meals, soft drinks and drinking water. Dinner is fully inclusive at Citronelle Club and Hadaba except for highlighted supplement items. Lunch is fully inclusive at Citronelle Club and Lazuli based on a special menu option. Mini-bar inclusions with daily one-time replenishment of select items or menu of non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverages are included.

Select alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and drinking water are available from 10:00am until 00:00am at Lazuli Beach Club. Drinks from the Citronelle Club, Hadaba and Pavilion Bar are served only during outlet operational hours.

A minimum 5 night stay receives a one-time spa treatment at the spa for 2 adults per bedroom.

A minimum 7 night stay receives a one-time spa treatment at the spa and one-time excursion (dolphin cruise or sunset cruise) for 2 adults per bedroom.

Ocean Beach Pool Villas are 228 sqm and is complete with a private garden and plunge pool. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults.

Family Beach Pool Villa with Capsule are 23 8sqm and features two-bedrooms, one of which, a stylishly designed bunk capsule for the kids. The spacious private garden is complete with a private pool and access to your own private beach. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.

Two-Bedroom Lagoon Beach Pool Lofts are 322 sqm and set over two floors. The first bedroom features a king-size bed and the other, two single beds, making this perfect for families. The loft also features it's own private pool, mini-bar, in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and a satellite TV. Sleeps a maximum of 4 adults.

Lagoon Water Pool Villas are 120 sqm and feature their own sundeck with private infinity pool. This villa also includes a mini-bar, in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and a satellite TV. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults.

Ocean Water Pool Villas are 120 sqm and feature their own sundeck with private infinity pool. This villa also includes a mini-bar, in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and a satellite TV. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults.

Two-Bedroom Ocean Water Pool Ateliers are 240 sqm and set across two floors. This residence is a slice of paradise with panoramic ocean views and private pool.. This villa has two separate bedrooms, the first of which with a king-size bed and the other, two single beds. The villa is also complete with spacious living and dining areas. This villa also includes a mini-bar, in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and a satellite TV. Sleeps a maximum of 4 adults.

Three-Bedroom Ocean Water Pool Ateliers are a larger 330 sqm and a third bedroom, containing an additional king-size bed. The villa is complete with spacious living and dining areas. This villa also includes a mini-bar, in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and a satellite TV. Sleeps a maximum of 6 adults.

Lovely resort. Modern, friendly, delicious food, super friendly staff Each room has a butler. Our butler Ismail was always there to assist The DJ from Ukraine was superb. The live musicians who played yesterday ( Wednesday 11/12/24 ). They were terrible Suggest they have fans in public areas as it can be hot even in December

We booked our 5 nights stay at SO/ Maldives last Feb and were we disappointed? Not at all. We were greeted upon arrival at the airport and in less than 30 minutes we were warmly welcomed by Ana, who was our GEM (in many ways) during our stay. She showed us around the resort and our well appointed room. We were pleasantly surprised with the extra touch to our room as it was our wedding anniversary. Ana created a WhatsApp chat group so that she could update us with all the daily activities. At breakfast the next morning we were warmly greeted by the resort management, Oliver and Oreste. We had our meals at all the three restaurants and were impressed with the quality as well as the impeccable service. There were lots of daily activities that one can participate. My wife was happy with her Maldivian tan just by snorkelling around the lagoon in front of our villa with the gear provided. One activity that I would highly recommend is the Male city tour which gave us a better understanding of Maldives’ rich history, its culture and its people. Special mention to the housekeeping team who ensured our room was made up 2 twice a day and provided us with firmer pillows upon request. And the service provided by Ashraf on arrival and departure was one that we had never experienced before. He brought our luggage all the way to the checkin counter and only left us as we head for immigration. Wow! That was service at its best. SO/ Maldives - you got a winning team, from Oliver to Oreste, Nalin, Ana, Putra, Badr, Maya, Luna, Loona, Dominic, Rachel, Ashraf and many more who are so passionate about providing the best service to its guests. Booked a 4 night stay in an Ocean View Lagoon Villa. Upon heading out of the arrival hall, I was greeted by the hotel staff who helped with all our luggage and escorted us to the speedboat. A 15 minute wait later because it was a shared boat ride, we were off to the resort, where we were greeted by our GEMS (Guest Experience Makers) Ismail, who helped us with our check in and brought us to our villa in a buggy where our luggage was already in the villa waiting for our arrival. The villa itself was spacious with all the required modern fittings. There’s a nice sunbed, lap pool and if you wanted, you could go for a quick swim in the ocean. The floor to ceiling glass panels on both sides allowed for an unobstructed view of the beautiful ocean which I felt was a nice touch. Ismail arranged everything for us, from making dinner reservations to booking spa slots, keeping our time filled. There are 2 main restaurants on the resort, Hadaba which serves more middle eastern cuisine and Citronelle Club that has a more international selection. Breakfast spread is fantastic! There are also tons to do on the resort, from paddle boats to yoga and excursions. I would highly recommend the swimming with nurse sharks experience. That’s probably one of the high notes of the stay. On the last night, as part of turndown service, there was also a “See you soon” made out of leaves on our bed which was really sweet and an indication how attentive the hotel is. We had an amazing time at SO! The breakfast buffet and Hadaba restaurant offered excellent food, and the room and overall resort were exceptional. Anna, our GEM, went above and beyond to make our stay truly enjoyable. We would love to come back.
