Stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of March, just as the winter season was coming to an end, as it was cheaper. Had 1 rainy morning for a few hours, and the odd cloudy day but it was still very warm. The welcome at resort was amazing from Corrine and her team, cold towels and a cold drink was lovely and helped us relax a little after a long journey during check-in, which was pretty seamless. Cases are taken to your room as you have a quick tour of the resort by staff. We did All Inclusive, in an oceanfront double, with a balcony, although the view was slightly obstructed by palm trees, the room was very spacious, and we enjoyed everything about this resort. Lots of sunloungers around the main pool, on the beach and the surrounding area. We did hear of 'reserved towels on sunbeds' being removed before 10am, and there are signs everywhere about this. There is no need to reserve. People mention the stray dogs, and there are about 6 roaming the resort and the hotel puts out dried dog food and fresh water for them every day, so they're looked after. Guests still feed them scraps, but that's upto them. Some nights the dogs barked quite a lot but we still slept OK. The sea is slightly choppy in March due to the season, so the free kayaking is not a great idea. However we did the free glass bottom boat tour, which you have to book in advance, starts at 11am and lasts about an hour, and you are not guaranteed to see a lot of fish. But one thing can be assured, is that the guide will do everything to spot sea turtles, and we did spot one surfacing near the boat, which was quite emotional. Taxi into Port Louis was arranged through reception as we found it to be the cheapest. Rs3000 (£50 GBP) for a 3 hour return pickup. You pay the driver when you get back to the hotel. Took about 45 minutes getting there as the driver was slow and keen to give you an update of points of interest. So beware your three hours are reduced!!. Then getting back to the hotel was faster owing to the fact we did not want to add to the Rs3000 and extend to do lunch or shopping. Drivers want their pay day! Also did a catamaran cruise through TUI, from/to Ile Aux Cerf, which was brilliant and so much fun. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the jetty in a free taxi, but you get to see more of the island. We met some people on the boat who paid separately for a taxi and the cruise but didn't save that much money doing so. BTW, snorkelling equipment IS included contrary to what you may read on the TUI website. Tipping in resort is not mandatory and doesn't guarantee you better service. Being friendly with the staff is just nice, because they are happy to be acknowledged and appreciate your attention. We did tip some of the staff (Rs200/400 each) when we felt their service deserved it. Up to you and your experience. TeaBaz near the ampitheatre has a selection of hot & cold teas which you help yourself to, and the hotel provides small filled buns, humous & small deep fried chips and crepes etc. served between 3.30pm - 5pm, which fills a gap between breakfast and dinner, if you don't go for the lunch service. We found out the ice used in all the drinks is from filtered water so is safe. The guys (Ganecha, Bradley, Ashil) who work at the Seabreeze bar at the main pool are brilliant and very efficient, they know who is next and can take multiple drinks orders and serve with a smile. There was entertainment every night, different bands and musical experiences. Day time entertainment was in the form of aqua gym in the main pool at 12 noon for 30 minutes, and volleyball on the beach and water volleyball later in the afternoon. People have mentioned lots of other things about this hotel, and we have only touched on these. On checkout (12 noon) your cases are collected and taken to reception, where you settle any bills, and you are offered a slot in the departure suite with showers before you actually leave. We had 6 hours to kill but declined the offer, as there is a shower etc. in the washrooms at reception near where your luggage is stored anyway. For an adults only resort, it's up there with a lot of good ones. Every member of staff is polite. Be respectful to the surroundings and staff and you will have an amazing time here. Read less

Kot Nou restaurant has a wide selection of high quality dishes, all offering a modern take on traditional Mauritian cuisine. Taba-J offers a great selection of dishes in a perfect little hideaway for lunch. We didn't get to try Coral but I am sure it would have been great. The entertainment in the evening is also very good. The beach is beautifully set and tended to by hand every morning. Overall our stay was truly wonderful and we have genuinely returned feeling 100% refreshed and unwound. Highly recommended. Read less

We were made to feel welcome and valued. All the team and managers are amazing, kind, helpful and very freindly, but we would like to give a special mention to Reena who went out of her way to make sure the service went had was first class, "thankyou Reena". We had no issues really with the dogs apart from for three nights barking, but when we mentioned this to a member of the management team, it was explained that these weren't the hotel dogs. The hotel dogs were asleep most of the day and only woke to have the treats we bought them. We would like to thank everybody for 2 lovely weeks in this beautiful hotel and we will see you next year. If you are looking for a piece of heaven on earth then choose this hotel. The grounds are simply beautiful and so well maintained. The staff can not do enough for you and are so friendly and happy to see you. Every member of staff that you walk past will give you a smile as a minimum and most will also give an additional friendly greeting. The 3 pools give you a good choice. The main pool and bar are a good size and its where the aqua fit and volleyball is played. The quiet pools offer a different vibe altogether. Reminded me a little of Bali. The rooms are great and despite initially thinking there wasn't enough storage, there totally was! You fill up your own mini bar which some people didn't like but I rarely drink in the room so it was no bother to me . 2 bottles of water were replaced daily for the room. You also have some free activities like kayaking and peddle boats. We also took the glass bottom boat trip to see the reef which was free. Take water shoes for the beach which is simply stunning. We tried to book a sunset cruise but it had to be cancelled due to the weather but those guests who did it loved it. That has an additional cost. The drinks choice is good but they do charge extra for some branded drinks which I don't think is good when you go all inclusive. On the whole I enjoyed most of my meals. Breakfasts were amazing. Still missing my croissants! They were soooo buttery. We found something we liked every night but occasionally ended up with some odd concoctions and would have liked more plain veg and chips. What can I say, I sometimes need chips! They had 3 a la cart restaurants and we went to 2 which were lovely. The Coral restaurant sometimes opens for lunch too. This is near the quiet pool and the lunch we had was delicious. Beef in a black bagel with egg and cheese. Trust me it was gorgeous! Vegans are also catered for. They have a carnival night on Wednesdays and the main restaurant is the place to be that night so don't book a la carte on Wednesday. Then every day they have tea time by the pool and there are freshly made pancakes and other snacks. All included in the all inclusive package. You are often asked your room number as not everyone books all inclusive This is better than wearing bands though. Entertainment - there is entertainment every night with many nights providing high quality singers and bands. The female band was especially good. If you didn't like it, the bar by the pool offers an alternative. It's all quite sedate so great if you want pure relaxation but if you want a more lively scene, this isn't the hotel for you. Trips - we did a tour of the North with a private driver we arranged with the hotel. Cost MUR 4500 for the day plus additional MUR 300 each for access to Botanical Gardens. Driver was great and told us lots about the island and it's history. Read less

Stayed at the hotel March/April 2025. Room ok and perfectly serviceable. Large bed, TV, fridge, kettle etc. Bathroom arrangements slightly unusual! Food fantastic during most of the stay but some bizarre variations in the speciality restaurants near the end of the stay with dishes wildly different to days before and not in a good way. Drinks good but in a pecking order, best in the coral restaurant area where they have more time, next the main bar, normally ok, depending on time of day and how busy. The pool bar was hit and miss but usually poor. In 11 days none of the advertised IPA was available but the cans of Guinness extra foreign are ok. Water sports are ok but very weather dependent which has been very windy unfortunately. Kayaking ok, snorkeling from the shore poor to non existent. The boat trail is ok when running. Entertainment generally very good. Some fantastic nights and just a few not so. The areas that need improvement. The dogs in the resort are generally fine during the day. At night they fight and howl. Block 500 they live under the stairs and are near the dog rehoming coral. Expect noise through the night. I addressed with reception to no avail. Some nights quite but too many disturbed. Next is the smell of sewage. Maybe the last 4-5 days, from coral to the main restaurant, but also from drains in the room. Chatting to a drainage engineer who had reported concerns but the hotel have ignored. The hotel could easily be so much better but I would still return. Depending on price, because it is a competitive market and all that glitters isn't necessarily gold,! Just the right amount of sunbeds, shade, bean bags etc. always places to sit. Read less
