The hotel

Completely renovated in 2017, this innovative resort has been designed by Kelly Hoppen and delivers an eclectic mix of effortless sophistication and relaxed informality, as well as signature LUX* touches. In a peaceful location, rooms overlook the triple-bay beaches and calm lagoon. There are beautiful gardens to wander in; stopping awhile to lounge on beanbags and hammocks dotted beneath coconut, banyan and filao trees. There are land and water sports galore, plus a world-class golf course nearby and bikes for exploring tropical hillsides or the local markets and village of Cap Malheureux. The LUX* Me Spa is a true haven, offering a range of indulgent treatments as well as yoga and dynamic exercise classes. Dining-wise, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with delicious island-inspired and international dishes. Just moments away from a small fishing village on the north coast of Mauritius. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

All Inclusive option: includes

Room upgrades

Wellness Junior Suites are perfect for couples and solo travellers seeking a wellness-centric holiday. They feature a beach house-style, a furnished outdoor balcony or terrace facing the secluded bay, a cosy indoor seating area, and one bedroom with a four-posted king-size Sleep Tight bed (with luxe linens, and your choice of pillow). The retro-style bathroom features mood lighting, bath, rainfall shower, twin vanities, and a separate toilet, as well as LUX* collection bath amenities. The room also includes a mini-bar* stocked with healthy snacks, yoga mat, strap and block, exercise cards, one plant-based smoothies, unlimited use of stand-up paddle and kayak, weekly yoga and movement classes, unlimited access to the spa’s hydrothermal facilities, unlimited on-site golf practice and balls, outdoor activity deck, access to four tennis courts plus one paddle court, complimentary use of mountain bikes, and a healthy in-room dining menu with plant based options. These suites have 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites are located on the ground floor with direct access to the beach, spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, bath, separate toilet and dressing room, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Ocean Junior Suites are located on the second floor, have a spacious balcony with an outdoor bathtub for two, and a king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen. Family Suites have a king size bed and double sofa beds, two bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 3 adults, 2 children/1 teen or 2 adults and 3 children/2 teens.

The LUX* Suite has a generous lounge area, walk-in dressing room, a sleek oversized bathroom with deep-soaking bath and walk-in shower, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Prestige Junior Suites are located on the ground floor facing a sheltered cove in the adults-only area, and boasts a 25 sqm terrace, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Yusra she’s the best employee in the lux and she’s very kind and helpful……. The hotel is amazing but the rooms a little bit older .. but everything is amazing thanks for all employees in the luxury cube. ……………………………………………………………………………………….

Well, what can I say. We arrived in the dark and didn’t really know what to expect. The reception staff made us feel very welcome and realised that we had been travelling for 20 hours or so and suggested that we had the welcome meeting the following morning - we were then taken by buggy to our room a Junior Wellness suite on the quieter side of the resort. The room was freshly cleaned with a happy birthday display in flowers on the bed(celebrating my wife’s birthday). The following morning after a good night sleep we opened the shutters to take in the most beautiful view across a lagoon to the open sea with waves breaking on the coral reef way out in the distance. We went for breakfast, which is self service, and very extensive, catering for most of the world’s culinary needs, the same applies to the evening meal(half board). We had our tour of the resort and were taken aback with the beauty of the place and setting. Not to mention all the facilities that are included and freely available to use such paddle boards, kayaks, tennis, gym, spa etc etc (I won’t go on as there is so much). In closing, we had a great time in a great location and we were so well looked after by fantastic staff who always had a smile on their faces and couldn’t be more helpful. This beautiful haven delivers relaxation in a luxurious but unobtrusive style that makes your stress just disappear. The resort covers a large area and that means even when fully occupied you never feel crowded in. There is plenty of to do but if you just want to chill there is peace and beauty in abundance here. What makes it so special is the people! The entire team is remarkable. The welcome and care we experienced was superb in every respect. This was our 5th visit and it really felt like we were coming home! So thanks must go, in no particular order order to: In reception, our dear friends Elena, Sandeep, (so good to see you back ), Joenathan and our new friend Naomi. We were very spoilt and must thank Rupesh and Akshay for their friendly and efficient services. We love our food and there is so much choice that you could never be bored. Lovely breakfast with beautiful piano Music. Taking the morningvibe to another level. The Beach and the Rooms ar perfekt for Couples and families. The restaurants are serviceminded and has alot of variety in delicious food. I am going back!
