Nestled on the beautiful beach of Flic en Flac and surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens, this relaxed resort has a welcoming Mauritian atmosphere. The outlook across the lagoon and the bay of Tamarin, with Le Morne Mountain in the distance, is impressive. Being on the west coast of Mauritius, you'll also be spoilt by amazing sunsets. The beach here is bounded by two reefs, an inner one that gives the hotel's swimming beach privacy and an outer reef where there’s a selection of complimentary water sports on offer. Enjoy the translucent, calm lagoon and keep a watch from the terrace for the dolphins that come into the bay. When it comes to dining, there's the main Tamarind Terrace restaurant, the intimate Pink Peppercorn on the beach terrace, and Spices, with its refined indoor dining room or more casual outdoor terrace. It's clear to see why this resort has a high volume of repeat guests.

Wonderful staff, great hotel, beautiful private beach and great value. Have just come back from Mauritius having spent 10 nights at the Sands Suite Resort and Spa.
The hotel cost us £320 a night for 3 people at half board. First of all big thanks to all the staff at the hotel always pleasant and welcoming especially big thanks to Ruddy from the pool, Kushi from reception, Nalindee and her fellow chefs on breakfast duty, Jonathan and his sidekick who did Aqua Aerobics.
The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and the TV has good movies on the M channels, pool is only one depth of 1.20M. Enjoyed our 2 massages at the SPA and thank you to the wonderful staff there.
Negatives - The birds mainly sparrows (thankfully no seagulls) pecking away at the food whilst you eat not sure what can be done about that they did start covering the food more. The car park has an open sewer running across it, grateful the smell does not reach the hotel. With half board you get breakfast and buffet which is different theme every night (Indian, Mauritian, Fish, Tex-Mex, BBQ, Mediterranean, Italian) I wasnt a big fan and the 2 other restaurants did not offer much variety very small limited menu and you need to book 24 hours in advance and you get a selected menu and 1600 rupees against the cost of the meal.
Whilst I was in Mauritius did go to Lux Belle Mare if that is in your budget go for it, amazing hotel but twice the price of Sands.

Great activities (snorkeling, stand up paddles, tennis, aqua sport…) and facilities. Two saunas and jacuzzi could be reserved for free and massage & spa services with extra charge. Very friendly staff and tasty food with good variety. Nice infinity pool and beautiful beach. Really relaxing stay, not for party animals :-).
Lovely setting and ambience

We had a lovely time. The service and setting were just stunning. We are very glad we picked the Sands. Proved to be a great choice!!
Free snorkeling trip was a highlight and the live music at dinner time was also really enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Sands and Suites Resort and Spa is a piece of heaven in Mauritius! For 8 days we had an amazing service and facilities. All rooms have an ocean view, cleaning service was superb and bed was very comfortable. The hotel grounds are very well kept, swimming pool is facing the see and nice to lounge. Flic en Flac beach is amazing and great for sunset views. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one buffet style with high quality food and 2 others with options of al carte and dinne around menus with no extra cost. The hotel had water activities included in our stay such as kayak, paddle board, snorkeling trip, water sky, etc and all at no extra cost! We visited the spa for a couple massage and it was pure heaven at a reasonable price. All the staff was friendly and helpful, always available.
Definitely highly recommend if you like boutique hotel vibes and personalised service.
