Arrived early before the 3pm check in for our Executive room for a 5 day stay so was offered to use the Executive Lounge until the room was ready whilst we had some food and drinks.
We were offered corner room 501 as part of the requested upgrade a few days before our visit. The room was huge and had wall to wall windows so had breath-taking views of the wheel and beach. This turned out to be perfect for viewing the drone shows, fireworks by the Palm and the illuminated wheel. Room had all facilities required but the bathroom is now looking a bit dated and quite aged but was all spotlessly clean and perfectly useable. Our lady room cleaner from Myanmar was superb and faultless.
Buffet breakfast selection in Oceana was fantastic (best was the Royal Salmon eggs benedict) and wide-ranging downstairs whilst it was busy, but all the staff were polite and very helpful at all times. Breakfast in Exec room was lot more peaceful and ample selection of food/drinks for breakfast.
Unlimited drinks served by April and her colleagues was spot on and the excellent tasty canapes were just right in the Exec lounge from 6pm to 8pm.
Dining options were diverse and exquisite in all 3 restaurants we utilised, and drinks were spot on. Make sure you have an evening meal at the Pure Sky Lounge in the sister ‘Walk’ hotel to get a disco with fab views as well.
Sauna and steam rooms were great and very quiet so perfect.
Middle beachfront location means that you can have a lovely walk in either direction so ensure you walk over to the largest wheel in the world at the Ain Dubai.
Beach sunbeds get busy, but space was always available. In this hotel you get your beach towels first and the beach staff seat you where you wish to sunbathe. It was quite noisy with all the jet ski’s but if you walk further down the beach to the public areas it was very quiet and peaceful.
