The wow-inducing setting’s the first thing you’ll notice when you rock up at this hotel – and you’ll soon see why its home has been dubbed ‘the most beautiful place in America’. But this is a hotel of contrasts, and the iconic fiery red rocks of Sedona are the backdrop for the impossibly lush fairways of its championship 18-hole golf course, the shimmering waters of its outdoor pools, and the cool serenity of its spa. Standing like scarlet-clad sentinels, the famous red rocks can be seen as you dine on the poolside terrace at Blue Water Café, just one of Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock’s three eateries – and, although it’s mere minutes from the outdoor adventures the scenery promises (and from shops, restaurants, and galleries) the hotel’s loaded with so many attractions you’ll never need to leave its grounds.

Housekeeping never came. No towels, overflowing trash

Housekeeping never visited our room during our 5 day stay. I asked for our room to be cleaned each day and had to track down towels for my family. Each day I was told someone would come, but no one ever did. The service was very disappointing. The hotel itself is conveniently located and upon entry it's clean. Each day I was told someone would come, but no one ever did. The service was very disappointing. The hotel itself is conveniently located and upon entry it's clean. I would book a private apartment or house next time due to the lack of service. After all , I typically book a hotel to feel a little pampered on vacation and have clean sheets and towels. Unfortunately this hotel was a disappointment.

The resort was part of a yoga retreat I attended for my 40th birthday, but I made reservations to come in a day early as to spend my actual birthday there, and stay a day after the retreat. They did have a sweet birthday card and treat in my room when I first arrived!
The room was amazing, so much space! I loved having the mini fridge, bar sink, and microwave- that made my longer stay so much nicer! The resort grounds were partly under construction, but otherwise it was really nice! The lobby's fragrance was a bit overwhelming, but such a beautiful space with so many seating options while we waited for our group to gather. The holiday decorations were just starting to go up, and we LOVED the igloos outside for dining, such a fun experience! We walked around, but didn't get to actually enjoy the pools or saunas, but they looked awesome, we just ran out of time!
The dining options were VERY overpriced in my opinion, but the food was still pretty good. I opted for their starbucks coffee bar latte each morning, which was a nice treat and about the same price as actual starbucks, maybe even a little less. We usually had a group of 6-8 for breakfast and the staff was super accommodating, even with several of us being gluten free. I was super disappointed in my first night room service tomato beet salad - so so overpriced and not good at all. I was so tired from the day's travel and it just wasn't good at all. We mainly ate breakfast and lunch at Shadowrock since it was included with our retreat fee, but otherwise many of us would've opted for other more affordable options. It was two of our birthdays and they did bring us a super cute birthday dessert at lunch one day.
I loved the location, being able to walk right down to a few shops and restaurants was awesome! I even walked a bit farther into town to the grocery store and other restaurants and shops, easy and safe!
Overall, a great experience - staff were all friendly, everything was clean, and if I attend another yoga retreat with the same group, I would look forward to staying here again. At times, they seemed under-staffed, but that's pretty normal for everywhere in this day and age!

Bad

I deeply regret spending my free night reward at this property. The price of the room that we booked would have been almost $500. We have stayed at 5-6 hilton properties the last 2 weeks and this was by far the most expensive and the worst.
Cons
-The rooms and hallways look about the same as an old motel from the 90s
-Fireplace was not working…

Cons
-The rooms and hallways look about the same as an old motel from the 90s
-Fireplace was not working when we arrived
-Pack and play was not in the room as requested and we had to remind the team several times to have this brought up
-Dinner and breakfast were grossly overpriced
-Late checkout of "30 min" given for diamond status even though employee the day before said noon checkout.
-Fridge was missing a leg and wobbled every time it was opened/closed
-Charged $20 for parking
Pro
-The employees and housekeeping staff were friendly and courteous
-Free laundry service

A pretty sour experience

1) Food. My wife took pork belly which is her favorite dish. Not sure what happened but afterwards she had to throw up . Definitely a bad and also unique experience
2) Prices. Everything is horribly overpriced and I noted extras are charged left and right. Honestly we are staying at better Hilton ( & Marriott) hotels for a much better price/quality ratio
3) Concierge & reception. Not sure what happened but the concierge lady was simply annoyed when I approached here for advice.
At check in I was taken care of till a call came in. Without any excuse and/or explanation I had to wait several minutes. Isn’t standard practice to ask the caller to hold till the current customer is taken care of.
Being a lifetime ( = pretty loyal) Diamond member assume I can make a proper honest assessment that this stay was a sour note on our trip.

Surprises

I am really offended by hotels that add resort fees and parking fees. With the Hilton Sedona the resort fee is $38.28 and self parking is $21.27. Adding these as a way to get more than the guest is expecting is just wrong.
Just be upfront and include it in your room price and quit the smoke and mirrors. I will think twice before staying…
