The hotel

Planning to pay Mickey a visit at Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure? Then the Hyatt Regency Orange County can be the perfect respite for you and your family. There’s even a shuttle bus to take you there and bring you back again. We love the Kids Suites, which give parents and children their own space to chill out. And the fire pit on the third-floor sports deck is a great place for a glass of something, and to toast marshmallows and s’mores under the stars. Add an on-site brewhouse and loads of attractions nearby, and you have everything you need for your O.C. adventure.

Love this beautiful hotel! The staff was friendly and accommodating! Our room was large and very nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable! We loved the hotel shuttle to Disneyland for $6 per person per day! Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Disneyland!

This hotel is a disappointment. The rooms are not only outdated but also unclean. The staff's indifference towards guests is evident, from the rude reception to the neglectful restaurant service. I would strongly advise against staying here

We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return next year! My daughter loved the play area with its various courts. It was time well spent. Thank you, Hyatt! The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful as well! Thanks to the housekeeping department for clean and fresh rooms!

Beautiful hotel, great location, friendly staff, good price! There is a great selection of restaurants nearby, and the hotel runs a shuttle (costs extra) to Disneyland from before the park opens to after it closes. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Highly recommend!

This is what I would call a "middling" Hyatt Regency, by US standards - rooms are a bit dated but feel fresh, lobby is spacious and impressive in a typical Regency fashion, very nice in-room TV and amenities. But - I used a Suite Upgrade Award, albeit one that had been expiring so why not, but the "one bedroom suite" they "upgraded" me to looked no different than a typical king room in any Hyatt - it just had some double doors to "separate" the "bedroom" from the rest of the room. It was what one might call a "fake" suite. I would have much rather had a regular king room on an upper floor than something like this, which was a waste of a suite upgrade. Now, Hyatt hotels are at their own discretion in terms of what they deem to be a "suite", but it seems to me that for brand standard reasons it would be better to have fewer rooms they call suites or at the very least make these pseudo-suites be on upper floors. The view from the room was quite nice, however, and the window opens out into the impressive old school atrium. The most disappointing thing about this hotel, however, was the awful buffet breakfast. Absolutely not even a slight improvement on a typical Hyatt Place breakfast, with poorly prepared potatoes, French toast, very substandard "croissants" and other pastries, and so forth. So, overall, while I have to give the hotel kudos for a very nice physical appearance, the suite that really isn't a suite, and the poor quality buffet, put this squarely in the mediocre column.
