Dream Hollywood

The hotel

Daring to be different, this is fast becoming recognised as one of the hippest hotels in Hollywood. As chic and playful as the city that surrounds it, Dream Hollywood is dressed for the red carpet – from the fresh dove-whites of its lobby and gadget-stuffed guest rooms, to the sheer opulence of its dining and drinking venues. TAO Asian Bistro transports you to the Far East with it's famous cuisine. But winning the Oscar for best-dressed set is The Highlight Room, an off-the-charts rooftop venue that brings together a spectacular cast: a contemporary Californian menu, handcrafted cocktails, a swanky rooftop pool with private cabanas, and views out to the Hollywood sign.

I found a mysterious charge of $360.00 on my credit card in addition to a $300.00 "security deposit." When I inquired, customer service said it was a mistake and that I would get my money back the next day. Twenty days have passed, and I still haven't received my money. When I inquired, customer service said it was a mistake and that I would get my money back the next day. Twenty days have passed, and I still haven't received my money. The hotel doesn't bother to answer my messages, so they effectively stole $660 from my card and refuse to return it. About the hotel itself: The music from the nightclubs is deafening, making it impossible to sleep. The bathroom has a GLASS wall, so anyone in your room can see you on the toilet. I don’t think this is normal. Additionally, a lot of strange-looking people hang around both outside and inside the hotel. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Read less

Very good hotel. Enjoyed the room and staff. This was just an overnight stay to go to a nightclub and see an event. Had low expectations and everything was perfect. Woke up in the morning with my complimentary coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great stay, just stop with the hidden fees, please

Nice rooms, excellent services, my only complaint is they still add these nonsense fees to the cost of the room ('destination' fee?...). Just build it into the cost of the room, please! Overnight parking is also expensive in this area, so be prepared to pay between $40 - $60 per night. That said, the valet guys at the Dream are awesome.

I've stayed in Hyatts over 100 nights during the last couple of years. Buy far this hotel is the worst imaginable. I've never experienced a more rude and poorly trained staff. It started at check-in, continued through the amenity space and concluded with the hotel manger. There are plenty of other boutique hotels in the area to stay out. If… Read more
