The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

216 rooms on 3 floors in 3 buildings with 2 lifts. All with HDTV, DVD player, iHome media player, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms have 1 queen-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Queen Hotel Rooms are larger than Standard Rooms, but with a more convenient location, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

King Hotel Rooms are in the main building and have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

King Hotel Rooms with Loft, in the main building, are larger, with 1 king-size bed and a loft area with 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

1-Bedroom Condos have separate bedroom, kitchenette and dining area, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Please note: During winter months, views may be restricted due to heavy snowfall.

Seth at the check in counter was super efficient and help for getting us check in. He was also a pleasure to talk with. He was stoked for our stay and that we were attending the on snow demo. This is our second year attending and the room and everything is just as good as last year. Exited for the snow the next couples days.

The service at the Front Desk is exceptional. Andie went above and beyond during the check in process. She moved us into a Mountain View Room and thoroughly explained the resort amenities and times. Everyone at Mammoth mountain inn was extremely helpful, especially Weston at the ski valet. Inn is walking distance to the lifts. Restaurant was accommodating. Rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable. Lots of history. Comfortable lobby with fireplace.

My family and I always love staying at the Mammoth Mountain Inn. It is our favorite place to stay when skiing at Mammoth. The staff is fantastic and always kind and attentive to our needs. A special shout out to Andi who provided us the same exceptional service we consistently receive and made our check inn easy and fast. Thank you, Andi!

Excellent skiing, great variety of trails, trail skill levels, lifts were more than adequate, busy yet the mountain is huge. The transportation system, the town one was excellent but the shuttle provided by the Inn went beyond that. The ski/boot valet and rental shop, both at the lobby entrance was perfect. I rarely give 5 stars to anything but 5 stars to the staff at the Inn and mountain especially Kyle, Eli and Jasmine & her pup. 5 stars to our shuttle drivers, Dave and John - professional, friendly, accommodating. 3 stars for food service simply because of the painfully slow service. Wonderful lobby, perfect seating arrangement, fireplace. Do the rooms need some refreshing, updating, yes but that wouldn't stop me from coming here again. Thank you Mammoth Mt Inn ! Read less
