The hotel

Get the true Fisherman’s Wharf experience at this fashionable hotel. Hyatt Centric's red-brick design fits in well with its surroundings, and its arched windows frame famous attractions like Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, and The Embarcadero. Step inside and see its exposed brick and industrial accessories, but with a chic ‘seaside hotel’ twist. For a treat, grab your towel and head to the courtyard pool and whirlpool. And why not end the day with a glass of local wine by the fireplace — and maybe a tasty crab and clam chowder?

Proximity to waterfront, Pier 39 is a big plus. Easy access to food and entertainment. Neighbourhood is a bit quiet though, compared to North Beach or Chinatown - if you're looking for something to do in the evenings like bars, people watching, or clubbing.

Yes we arrived at 1am, it was a late checkin but unavoidable. We stood at the front desk for 5 minutes before the attendant Arya barked what do you want! Great customer service and excellent room. Just what we needed after a long flight from Asia. We had an executive suite. TV was Chromecast capable, which is always a plus, WiFi was strong, room is very comfortable. Coffee maker was nice. Slept very good and was well rested for the next long flight across the US.

Had a lovely evening in the Fisherman’s Wharf and Embarcadero areas of SF. The Hyatt Centric was a great place to stay, and it’s a lovely modern hotel. Great breakfast buffet and I would not hesitate to stay here again! Comfortable room, very nicely decorated and a great location to explore San Francisco.

On a whim, I booked a one-night stay at the Fisherman's Wharf Hyatt Centric. I am a Hyatt member, and I have been practically happy with all of their properties, so this was a no-brainer. Upon checking in, I asked Luciano at the front desk if I could change my room from an ADA (which I accidentally booked online) to a regular room. He was very accommodating - he immediately found a standard room with a king bed. My husband and I were very happy. The premises was clean, the location was convenient for where we wanted to go. Before arriving, I did check the price of hotel parking - it was $65. I of course wanted to save a little money, so I booked a parking spot through the Spot Hero app. I was able to park less than 2 blocks away from the hotel for $31! (There are cons to this though - no in-n-out privileges, and you must not leave any belongings visible in your car.) Read less
