At one of the best addresses in San Francisco you’ll have Union Square’s boutiques, big-brand shops, and dining and nightlife almost on the doorstep. The Hilton is a big hotel with great service and a sociable buzz in the lobby bar and coffee shop. The views are pretty spectacular here too — head up to the 16th floor for some chill out time at the pool deck or go even higher up, all the way to the 46th floor Cityscape lounge.

I have visited this hotel regularly for more than 30 years and prices have increased, the quality has not. My room had a small window facing a corner wall 3 feet away, one of the lamps was out of order and in general I did not feel this was worth 350$ per night. On the sunny side the shower was ok and the personnel helpful. Noise from the…

Unreasonably priced breakfast but happily I got it for free thanks to a voucher I was given when arriving, it was a cheap and good buffet breackfast after all..

Enjoyed downtown San Francisco at the Hilton Union Square...

Great property in great location. Checked in there after a disaster at another property across the road. Central location to explore the heart of San Francisco. Staff very helpful, special mention to Javier from Barcelona on the Concierge Desk whose knowledge of the area and best places to eat was spot on !!
Disappointing.

We have stayed at the Hilton Union Square numerous times but this was probably our last. There is an extended labor strike with union members picketing at the entrance. They are making a loud and uncomfortable scene as is their right to do.

Our disappointment is that no notice was given at the time of our booking that the entrance was a gauntlet to get through to enter the hotel. Very uncomfortable.
. No room service available during our three day stay. Again , this should have been divulged ahead of time.
Shame on Hilton management for treating return customers this way.
We will be looking for a new place to stay next time.

I love this hotel ! I visit my aunt every year from Scotland and like to stay at the Hilton Union Square as it has everything I need as a solo lady travelling. The staff are all very friendly especially Lepe on the front desk. I always ate breakfast (take away) from Herb Kitchen, freshly made latte and a croissant. You can buy anything in there, so handy. My room had a balcony which overlooked the city, nice to wake up in the morning to that view. Because of the strike I never had housekeeping but that was fine with me as I was just there for 4 nights. When you are inside the hotel or room you don’t hear anything from the strikers so there was no impact on me, I love shopping and this hotel is 5 minutes walk from Union Square and Macy’s so returning from my aunts I shopped in Macy’s, I never felt unsafe walking back to the hotel. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay, see you next year.

We were disappointed!!
Our immediate upon arrival, we were met with the workers on strike!
The loud banging noise outside from early hours till late night.
After reading a-lot of the reviews, i emailed the hotel, to be told it wouldn’t affect our stay. As customers we should have been informed and prepared.
Hilton management should be giving…

Hilton management should be giving the customers the courtesy of staying at another Hilton site in the Bay Area.
Overall not the best! Rooms were small and average. Bathroom was dated and TINY.
