The hotel

If you're going to do a Californian road trip, you might as well do it in style right? And staying in an iconic air stream would fit that bill for sure. Think of it as camping, but still with a nice warm shower and a comfy bed to sleep in - oh and a fully functional kitchenette so you can whip up a storm and enjoy it out on your private deck. There's also a lovely pool to enjoy and weekly activities incuding yoga and live music, and if you don't fancy cooking each night - The Kitchen is on hand for you to grab a bite to eat or a nice glass of wine (after all, we are in California). Most importantly of all though, this is a great base for visiting Yosemite National Park. You're just 26 miles from Yosemite National Park's Arch Rock Entrance Station, so you can easily take a dip in the Merced River, chase waterfalls through Yosemite Valley, or explore the historic town of Mariposa.

Family cabin smelled like a pet store. Fur/hair in the bedroom. Parking a challenge. Extremely close to the neighbors w the outdoor space. They were loud, up late and left outdoor lights on so we couldn’t see the meteor shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities were true to the posted information. The grocery store and restaurants are a 10 minute drive away into town so we picked up some small items and made breakfast during out stay which was nice. They gave us a dog bowl, treats and small blanket for when we arrived and their complimentary warm apple cider, coffee and granola/milk were great. I also took advantage of the yoga in the morning which was a perfect way to start the day because we left to Yosemite National Park which was approximately an hour drive. The staff was helpful and the food was fine. I left my flat iron (not sure why I even brought it) in the cabin and they found it an mailed it back to me for a small delivery fee. We would definitely stay here again, the color of the leaves during late November were magical. :) Read less

Not worth the cost! We stayed here a couple of years ago in May and the experience was great. The property (aside from clubhouse) is not maintained well and there was a ton a garbage laying around and under our airstream (chicken bones, broken toys, glass, beer bottle tops) and grease or oil under the picnic table. The lake was dried up (granted it’s September but it looked bad). At night everything felt better but during the day was pretty ick. They don’t have any sandwiches or things that can be easily packed for hiking at the cafe/store- menu is pizza, Mac and cheese, salads etc and we were told to try town for that stuff which felt inconvenient. We were there for 2 nights and the bill was over 1K - definitely would stay in the park next time. Read less

Absolute TRASH. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was the worst camping/hotel experience I’ve ever had. 1. Absolute TRASH. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was the worst camping/hotel experience I’ve ever had. 1. When we first arrived, we asked the bartender if there was a fountain where we could fill up our water bottles or purchase a case of water since we were staying in one of their “luxury tents”. He looked at us with distain and said this is a “higher class or boutiquey type of place” and directed us to the nearest riteaid to purchase. 2. We were told that the communal bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. However, every single night there were clumps of hair on the ground and the showers REEKED of mold. 2 out of the 4 nights that I took a shower the body wash and towels were completely out. On top of that, the showers do not lock, so there were multiple occasions where little kids would randomly open the door when I was showering. 3. The wifi is TERRIBLE. It turns off every two minutes. There is no phone service on the camp grounds so having wifi was crucial. 4. There was a portable toilet located near our tent which we relied on since our tent was located far away from the club house. However, the door to the bathroom would accidentally stay locked if someone closed it too hard. One night, I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and the bathroom door was locked. I knocked and no one was in there. I ended up peeing outside our tent since I had to go so bad. This was UNACCEPTABLE. I went to check the next day and the bathroom door was STILL fixed shut. 5. We stayed here during Labor Day weekend so our tent would reach high 90’s during the day. Our portable AC unit stopped blowing cold air so it was just a sauna until 8pm. If the prices don’t turn you off from this place I beg that this review does. My review is overlooking how the airstreams and tents are packed on top of each other or how ever overpriced everything is ($18 for a 2 pack of smores kit). However the hospitality, cleanliness, and overall accessibility of this place is UNACCEPTABLE. Read less
