Perhaps the best hotel I've ever experienced. No attention to detail left unturned. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. The fabulous restaurants had world-class food and service, the fitness center was second to none, the numerous bars were comfortable with great bartenders and wait staff. The hotel presented unbelievable luxury. Even the room cleaning staff was responsive and the room was cleaned almost immediately when the service light was turned on. And there was even an outdoor ice skating rink for the holidays. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. After visiting other hotels on the strip, we found nothing to compare to the experience we had at the Fontainebleau. Read less

We have been visiting Las Vegas for several years and always wondered about this big building that was just sitting there. It was exciting to hear that they were opening and even more exciting to have the opportunity to book a couple of nights here. First thing to know is that this is what I call the north end of the south strip. The Sahara and Strat are the only big names between here and Downtown. If you walk it is a really long way to the Mandalay Bay. However, the monorail, the Deuce, or ride share are all reasonable ways to get around. The hotel is impressive, no doubt. The lobby is large and shiny, the ceilings are high and opulent, and the bars are beautifully laid out. The choice of dining in the hotel is broad and everything we tried was very good, and (on the Vegas scale) reasonable. The people here made all the difference. Our bartenders and servers were all attentive, accurate, and gave us a great experience. Fontainebleau has a very wide array of slot machines, scattered all over the floor. Every corner we rounded, there were more machines. The tables are laid out in areas around the floor, with a longer cluster set in one wing. While they were not crowded, there were quite a few people playing and there were some tables available for overflow. All in all, this is a new, gorgeous hotel. The staff is invested in your experience, the rooms are spectacular, and while smoking is permitted, the high ceilings seem to help avoid the cloud of smoke that gathers in some casinos. I will return. Read less

Fantastic experience at this new property! Yes, it's pricey. My wife and I both have special dietary needs and we got outstanding accommodations with our food allergies (non-Gluten). Highly recommend getting the app for the property and put in your guests' dietary needs - it will make it much easier for the staff to prepare accommodation and offer suggestions. Gluten free bun at the fast-casual burger joint? Sure! Gluten free rolls at Don's Prime? Yup! Gluten-free toast as an option for breakfast? Sure! No upcharge for these, by the way, which would be a normal addition at most establishments. Now the "shops" are a bit silly - as you'll find at places like The Venetian, Bellagio, etc. These are shops that seem to solely exist where you blow the money you just won at the casino, or you're a world traveler with no concerns for expense. Branded stores (Gucci) with very limited selection and very expensive merchandise. There is a small shop for necessities that's located just off the lobby, but you can probably skip the rest of the "shops" which carry luxury purses, clothing and accessories. Unlike further down the strip, there aren't any walking-distance shops like Target or Ross, so you may not be shopping much, and the area, on the end of the strip near Downtown is pretty limited. Avoid walking around the area at night, and consider taking an Uber to get you to additional shops at places like Miracle Mile. Read less

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were very nice, the facilities were upscale. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the sink in our room barely had any water pressure and it took foreeeever to get warm or hot water. And the toilet paper sucked. It just broke apart while I tried to use it
