The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The Strip, Las Vegas

Star rating

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Hotel for younger guests that like loud thumping music

We haven’t stayed at the LINQ in years and our huge disappointment this visit may be because we are now seniors with different music tastes than 30 year old guests. Our room on the 12th floor of District 3 was 10 stories above the obnoxious loud pool area and yet the booming thumping repetitive bass electronics music was so loud it was loud in our room and shook the windows. Those rooms should have a sound warning to incoming guests. Management should go up to one of those rooms during the day and see if that noise is acceptable to them. We went down to the pool area and some of the large speakers seemed pointed to the hotel upper rooms? It appears that management has made the decision to cater to a young crowd with loud music wants. Pool area is not for relaxing as hard to hear others talk over the music. We went to four large hotel casinos and the LINQ was by far the loudest with repetitive music. Basic clean room, good mattress and pillows, and a helpful mini refrigerator. Base of shower (Room 12121) could use some fresh paint to cover the deteriorating part at the corner. No nightlight or other illumination in the bathroom. Body wash instead of soap bar and the container leaked out all the soap on to the shower floor. Read less

LINQ Hotel was very nice, and would recommend it as a less expensive alternative to some of the bigger hotels. But I have to give a special shout out to the lost and found staff. I left my wedding ring in my room, and did not realize it till I was at the airport. I quickly went online to report my missing ring (including a picture of the ring). On Monday, the lost and found staff got back to me that they found the ring! After confirming and paying for the shipping (which I was glad to do), they sent it back to me, and by Wednesday night, I was wearing my wedding again. Huge kudos to the lost and found staff. Was really worried about staying here looking at past reviews, was nothing to worry about, was a great stay with a fantastic location. We originally booked a suite but when we arrived it was a little noisy outside as there was a generator running. So found us another room with was actually a downgrade but we loved it with a view of the sphere. Staff were great. Check in not an issue just use the self service machines when it’s busy. Plenty of food options, especially with the linq promanade makes things a lot cheaper. Little mention to the guy on the bell desk. Didn’t catch his name wears a hat, most helpful person I’ve encountered, can’t praise him enough and made us feel at ease as our luge had been lost from our airline. Would stay here again in a heartbeat Read less

The hotel is fine for crashing and showering. Amenities were jot bad and the overall cleanliness was pretty good. But check in is an absolute nightmare. I’ve heard that many of the Caesars properties have a terrible check in process, especially when the staff members just push you towards the kiosks. I was pushed to a kiosk on 4 separate occasions and every time, the kiosk couldn’t read my drivers license. I also paid $60 upfront for VIP early check in because I was flying in early yet I couldn’t get in until 3:30pm when the upgrade says 11am. I get that rooms need to be cleaned and stuff but to take my money and just have me check in at normal check in time is absurd. And they originally gave me keys that didn’t work so that was another ordeal. I almost missed puck drop for the VGK v Lightning game and the only compensation was $50 F/B credit. That only will deter me from staying at the Linq again. Read less
