December in NYC

Excellent service, friendly staff. One thing that really stood out to me was how quiet the rooms were, I believe they sound proofed. Everything was clean and I loved the art deco theme. Plan to take my kids in summer of 2026 and this hotel is at the top of my list.
Wonderful Experience!

My family and I had a 2-night stay at the Hotel Edison! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and within walking distance of all the major sites, if you don't want to walk, taxis and UBER's are readily available.
My family and I will certainly be back!

I have been staying at the Edison every few years for over two decades. This time around, I got a fantastic nightly rate for the two bedroom Presidential Suite on the 20th floor. The space is quite large, especially considering the location, and having the access to three beds, a pull out sofa and two full bathrooms for two adults was marvelous.
Front desk was kind and professional, despite the room not being ready for nearly an hour after my check-in time. When we finally got in the suite, the staff member who accompanied us to unlock the two doors which connect the additional bedroom to the rest of the suite had some issues keeping the doors propped open. The magnetic piece that would have traditionally been used to keep the doors propped open was malfunctioning, and the staff member asked me if I had brought something to prop it open on my own. I had to laugh, because no, I naturally do not travel with door jams. Ended up keeping the doors ajar using one of the complimentary umbrellas provided in the room.
Another major plus was having the water filling station right outside the door to our suite.
All things considered, the hotel is a reasonably cost effective option if you are looking for lodging ideally located amongst the theatres.

Shower pressure could be improved
Dec 12, 2024Eileen L
The Edison was perfectly located next to Time Square… Beds were comfortable and room was lovely… Bathroom was on the small side.. Shower pressure wasn’t great and it took ages to wash hair (long hair).
Overall excellent and decor was modern.
Too LOUD to sleep
Dec 12, 2024Stephanie K
It’s midnight and there is incredibly LOUD rap music and someone on a microphone outside our window! Book elsewhere!! Staying in a hotel so close to Times Square was a terrible idea!!! Especially for the price. So so frustrated and disappointed.
