It may sit in one of the world’s priciest zip codes, but the radically revamped Kimpton Hotel Eventi has taken over an entire block of Manhattan – proudly showing off that fact with a wall of street-level windows giving passers-by glimpses of its dining and drinking venues. Of course, as a guest, you get to experience the glitzy world beyond those windows (and beyond the view-grabbing floor-to-ceiling windows in every guestroom). Part chic hotel, part art gallery (both in keeping with its artsy Chelsea address), its new lobby feels more like a designer’s living room thanks to the fashion-forward furniture, coffee table books, and warmly lit artworks. And, within four blocks of the Empire State Building, The High Line, and Macy’s, there’s no shortage of dining outside, but Chef Laurent Tourondel has made ‘dining in’ a must, with his Italian-influenced and industrial-styled L’Amico and The Vine.

This was our second year in a row staying at Eventi leading up to the holidays in December and it was even better than the previous year. My wife and two children (11) and (9) stayed in two adjoining rooms & they carefully placed us in great corner location creating lots of space for a family of 4. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating at every turn. The on premise restaurants had consistently great service and delicious food. (Highly recommend the skirt steak & frites as well as the breakfast at L'amico). We love this hotel for its accessibility to the train as well as the centralized location whether you want to go down to Soho or head up to Rockefeller. On a bigger note we love the Kimpton hotel group, but Eventi has our loyalty when we stay in NYC and we highly recommend.

We booked the hotel Eventi because we had dined a few times at the fabulous restaurant on location, L’amico. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Since the food was so great and the location was in a perfect area for us , we decided to book our yearly December trip!
The hotel itself has great- sized, comfortable rooms and a large bathroom big enough for two and all our belongings!
All these things at the Hotel were exceptional- but not half as exceptional as meeting your host, Will Brooks. What a gift this hotel has employing this special man. He is completely knowledgeable , professional and most of all, genuine. He is the first interaction that you get when you approach the hotel and the last when you leave. Welcoming , and warm , we are so glad that we had the opportunity to meet him. I hope the hotel knows how fortunate they are to have someone like him promoting their business as if it were his own! Because of Will, we can’t wait to return!

Great Hotel and a true value for NYC
Dec 9, 2024Drucille D
I thought this hotel was fabulous. Great location for my Christmas plans. The hotel itself was very stylish. Had everything you would want in a good hotel. Restaurant, Bars, common lobby. The rooms themselves were a good size and had good amenities (robes, safe, extra pillows, etc). I will definitely stay again.

My new favourite hotel in NYC

This is now my favourite NYC hotel. It is perfectly located, has an amazing Italian cuisine restaurant/bar, their breakfast leaves no desires unfulfilled and their bar is always busy with great music. Their service is high end as their rates, but if you can afford it, then it worths it.
