Your room is a trendy, modern haven, perfect to head back to after a day of sightseeing. And in the evening, you can head up to the rooftop bar to sip on a cocktail, and admire the twinkling skyline surrounding you, topped off with a view of the iconic Empire State Building.

Hotel information

612 rooms. All with air conditioning, 43" HDTV with streaming apps including Youtube, Netflix and HBO, telephone, walk-in rain shower, hairdryer, clothes steamer and safe. The rooms are cosy and cleverly designed to utilise all the space, such as under bed storage, furniture that folds away and a pegboard wall to hang your clothes on. Double Rooms are 150 sq ft and have 1 double bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Queen Rooms are 200 sq ft and have 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Queen with Loft Rooms are 200 sq ft and have 1 queen-size bed and a single bed bunk-loft style, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Double Double Rooms are 220 sq ft and have 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

Bunk Twin Rooms are 220 sq ft and have 2 twin bunk beds (4 single beds), sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

King Rooms are 200 sq ft and have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Corner King City View Rooms are 200 sq ft and have views of Manhattan, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Legasea (seafood restaurant, open for lunch (selected days) and dinner). Bar Moxy (open for breakfast, lunch and cocktails). Magic Hour (rooftop bar and lounge with nightly DJs, light bites and weekend brunch). The Pickup (grab-and-go food). Café D 'Avignon. Prova Pizza Bar. Sweat at Moxy (24-hour fitness centre). Fantastic service from the hotel team, they went to great lengths to make it a special trip for my daughter as we went to celebrate her exam results. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the nice touches like the free instamax hire went down very well. Great location and fun atmosphere.

This review is based on my experience with the Moxy. The positive is the location. We wanted to stay near Macys Herald Square for Black Friday shopping and the location of the hotel was perfect. The security guard, I believe that’s his title, was super friendly from check-in. That’s the only positive I can give. I reserved a double room and they told me that stood for double occupancy. So we had a queen size bed for two people that needed two separate beds. And they had the audacity to tell me that was an upgrade. That closet of a room was considered an upgrade. Okay. We made do. It was my aunt and I so whatever. The noise was unbelievable. I don’t expect the outside noise to be low, it’s New York. I didn’t expect to be sleeping next to a nightclub all night on the 3rd floor. It was unbelievable. We didn’t sleep for three night. Then the worst part of all, the heat was not working. We reposted the cold room and they told us they couldn’t fix the issue because our “stuff” was in the way. 2 whole suitcases and slippers got in the way of them fixing the heat in the hotel room. On our final night the nice clerk offered to move us to another room. (Now they want to move us). We declined and he offered us a space heater but quickly rescinded when he realized they didn’t have any. At least we received blankets. Now the trip is over and I’ve been charged 30.00 a night Destination Fee on my credit card, which I already paid for on Delta Vacations. So I’m still dealing with the Moxy and I want to be done with them. The shopping was great though. Read less

Always love staying at a Moxy in NYC. But this time was over the top amazing! We were treated like VIP’s thanks to Giovanny, he’s the best. Set us up with sights to see, things to do and of course, fantastic places to dine. Thank you Mr. G!!! I highly recommend staying here, you’ll have a great time! Michael - Seattle

Smells great, rooms are very clean and it’s always a vibe in there, the rooftop is amazing. Loved the customer service. Went to the barbershop and love it. The cafe was my favorite part, loved the coffee. The employees there are super friendly and nice. Will be coming back soon!
