My husband and I have been here two consecutive years in a row. Typically, I would advise not staying in Times Square as it's a complete tourist trap (coming from a former New Yorker). However, we live out of state and needed a hotel close to a jazz comcert we were attending so we could walk back late at night. Sanctuary is definitely cool vibes, night club adult geared atmosphere. Most importantly, a boutique hotel, not a Hilton or Marriott unless that's your groove. Decent accommodations (we had the king deluxe street view), super comfy bed. Comes with stocked fridge and added snacks at an additional cost. We bring our own. All was great only disappointed how much their breakfast went down. No comparison to last year. If you are a bagel or toast person you will love. But that's about it. We observed arriving early the two staff were not keeping up with the inventory. It was very spartan. However, did observe some stockpiling danishes leaving none for anyone. Spoke to an employee and was told budget cuts. Breakfast aside with added fee they tell you later... good place only if you need to be in the area for a show overnight Read less

Hotel was amazing! Centrally located, great room, nice decor, I would def stay here again! The beds were comfortable , the staff went above and beyond! Literally in the heart of the theater district, made it very easy to get to broadway shows. 10/10

Overall the hotel was okay, question its 4 star status. Reception staff friendly, bar staff friendly, breakfast was poor, wife and friend had once and said it wasn’t good at all, no attention to detail, breakfast items being mixed together, just not looked after. Rooms was small with little to no space to store cases, no doubt majority of people who stay are travelling so find this odd. Toilet was tiny, I’m 6ft 2 and struggled to manoeuvre around, if you’re slightly bigger in stature you would struggle. Not all bad, the bed was very comfy, room turned down every day and cleaned, shower space was great. Overall location was great, hotel is just tired and could do with a deep clean and freshen up. s an FYI, The lift scared the hell out of me! Read less

The atmosphere was cozy with the fire going in the lobby, and the staff was so kind and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and visit the rooftop next time. Read less
