This was our first stop (after the airport) on our first Caribbean vacation. We had heard about the warm, welcoming friendliness of the Barbadian people. Well, you couldn't tell it by the staff here; what a surly bunch! In addition, much of the hotel is in some disrepair; to their credit, there did seem to be a lot of maintenance going on, so hopefully that will change. On the plus side, they have a very attractive pool area, some truly prime beachfront, and the included breakfast was far better than expected. Read less

It’s a good hotel. Housekeeping was kind.It has a lot of potential. Customer service needs to be worked on. Very awful customer service. Didn’t use lots of the services. The kids room was closed. Right on the beach. Swim up bar. They need to clean the pool daily.

Never previously stayed here before November 2024, but were told by locals in previous years it was a good hotel. Booking in the hotel took absolutely ages dealt with painstakingly by one person. First night rainwater was coming into our room, and one wall was entirely wet to the touch. Water dripping in the corridor, and the carpet was wet to walk on. We got moved to an icebox alternate room that was a bit better but without towels etc. No meet and greet, room not cleaned for first three days or bedding changed either, had to request cleaning. Housekeeping service diabolical, staff were surly, and still cleaning and changing bedding at 6.00 and 7.00 p.m. in the evening with dozens of people waiting in reception who just wanted to get to their rooms. No entertainment we asked, and staff did not seem to know if any happened. Pool often closed off and could not be used. Would not stay here again. One member of staff went beyond called Sophia, who arranged an excursion for us, and asked the next day if we had enjoyed our trip. Read less

Staff were fantastic always on the ball, albeit with the Caribbean one speed approach to service. Food was of a very high standard. Would I go back? Yes, the next time to explore Barbados Read less

WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is way past its sell by date and needs closing to refurbish many of the bedrooms and communal areas. We were taken to our room, an ocean front room, through what can only be described as the most dirty and shabby aray of corridors I have ever experienced in a hotel. When we entered the room it smelt of damp, the room was shabby, and the patio doors not particularly secure. We complained the next day to Rachel and des[pite her alleged attempt to find us an alternative room she stated that the hotel was full and no other rooms were available. She stated she would keep an eye on the situation and update us. We never saw or heard from her again over the 10 days were stayed. The last 4 days of our stay we were the only guests remaining in our room at the wing we were staying. The other guests obviously moved and some serious renovation works were stored with plumbing pipework being stored outside our room and dust and banging going on throughout the day! The bar constantly ran out of drinks, the seating area uninviting and dirty and never appeared to be cleaned or wiped down, the breakfast was limited and repetitive, and the majority of the staff could not be bothered. The swimming pool was dirty and never appeared to be cleaned, the pool bar closed at the start of our stay. With an amazing location on rockley beach it is a shame.A suggestion would be to delete the drone video from their website as it does not reflect the true condition and facilities of this hotel. Will never return to this hotel. Read less
