If you’re dreaming of sun, sea, and serious style, then Avani+ Fares Maldives is calling your name. Located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, this place is as Instagram-worthy as it gets. Think pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and luxury villas that feel like they’re straight out of a glossy magazine. This isn’t just about lounging (though there’s plenty of that) – it’s about doing things your way. Whether you’re a water sports enthusiast (think kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkelling with manta rays) or you prefer to keep things zen with some spiritual spa time, you’ve got options. Diving is top-tier here too – the coral reefs around the resort are as vibrant as your holiday pics will be. And for those days when you just want to sit back and sip cocktails by the beach, there's 'Smugglers Shack' - a premier beach bar serving surprise menus of the day, and we hear 'Tribe' is the place to hit at sunset.

Highlights: The island layout You have a choice of places to eat which is unique for such a small island The overwater accommodation and the cleanliness of the room (although on arrival the smell of cigarette smoke was strong and it was in the pillows) The ability to snorkle / swim from your own landing - watch the current on tidal changes Food was excellent and plenty of it The grounds are well kept Transport is readily available if needed to go between destinations Get to know the staff, i found them friendly and attentive The snorkelling was amazing, so much sea life especially in the deeper areas We where blessed with the weather (take your sun protection, you can get cooked very quickly if vunerable) Improves: A host should be a host, come and check on your allocated guests don't just rely on electronic communication. It doesn't take much and follow up on your word. (No sea plane organised even though it was guaranteed for our return journey) The lagoon in front of the pool has quite a lot building debris in it, close to the reef which isn't the best look and I did find a bit in front of our room It could do with some more sun lounges as people did claim them early and one couple had a table, cabana and two lounges all fo r instagram photos Don't travel home on a Sunday, the airport where chaos Would I go back: in a heart beat Thank you to the staff that made our stay enjoyable you did well Regards Stephen & GayI Read less

Excellent all inclusive offering, with a great selection of wines and sparkling wines, as well as lovely cocktails! Tribe bar is the perfect setting for sunset, we also loved spending the afternoon at smugglers bar having a few drinks & nibbles. The food at the buffet had plenty of options - on our first night there was a whole freshly caught Tuna! Maanu looked after us on our stay, he was really helpful and friendly ☺️ This place definitely exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend! Read less

It was overall just an amazing stay which we totally recommend to everyone! The hotel is just amazing allowing our kids to stay at the Avani Kids Club during the day, enjoying some great activities. In addition, the restaurants offered a very big variety of different food and dishes!
