What a fantastic place to stay. I wish that I had discovered this hotel sooner as it was my first time here at this hotel but hopefully not my last. A family run hotel who are the perfect hosts and attentive to all your needs. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and very well thought out, including reusable shopping bags and Bop bug spray to combat any unwanted guests ! The entire staff are friendly but professional and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The pools are a lovely feature and spotlessly clean as are the surrounding areas. The food in the Sugar Apple Cafe is excellent and being able to buy milk and juices aswell as coffee and ice cream at The Hut is so convenient. Bus stops are right outside the hotel making it easy to get around and about. Overall I cannot find anything to fault at this lovely hotel in a great location, with perfect hosts and staff who are attentive to all your needs. Thank you for a great stay Beach View Team I can now understand why you have so many returning guests. Read less

Beach View was great for our first visit to Barbados. We booked a 1-bed Luxury apartment in the new building opposite the Cliff Restaurant/QP Bistro, but had been given a 2-bed (with one bedroom locked) which appears to have been a great bonus, as large living area/ kitchen/balcony based on more occupants was great, and the extra standalone separate WC was useful. The rooms are very clean, well equipped and serviced every day by great staff. The basic grocery pack, pre-ordered, was very handy with a late arrival along with some Banks Beer! The Hut on site was useful for essentials but a little expensive. 2L of fresh milk was about £9.50 (BBD24) but saved a trip to the supermarket. The pool next to our block was superb, clean, warm and a delight in 30oC heat! Never short of sunbeds and parasols. Another 3 pools also available. The Sugar Apple café provided excellent value compared to many other places and the food was very nice. The Burger with seasoned fries is good value and similar (if not lower) price than some UK chains, and very tasty. Masseys supermarket was about 10mins on Yellow Buses to Holetown. Prices there were not too bad although more expensive than UK, but occasionally cheaper. We travelled by Yellow bus to Oistins, Bridgetown, Holetown and Speightstown, all at BBD3.5 (£1.30) each, amazing value but placing your life in the hands of very dangerous maniac drivers who didn’t seem to care about other road users and risk of major incidents! There are quieter Blue buses but we never used any. The noise from the QP Bistro mid afternoon and evenings was at times was disgraceful and louder than necessary, to be honest, the main reason why we would probably try elsewhere on the Island if we returned, selecting a more peaceful environment. They could quieten things down a little without loss of business. We had a look at the Bistro and although it looked very nice, the TA reviews about rip-off prices kind of put us off along with The Cliff which at 380BBD plus 12.5% per person for a 3 course dinner excluding drinks is too much. We went to smaller establishments and enjoyed local food. Jagos Lounge was next to the northern entrance was good for a Saturday evening meal. One minor issue with the final bill at check-out was a double charge for our grocery pack, paid for before travel by credit card, then added to the account. We queried this the night before and was told it would be adjusted, however, upon check-out we had to go through it again with different staff. Slightly uncomfortable as they suspect that it is a try-on and show little sympathy until they discover it is a genuine error on their part, then removed. Perhaps an apology first would have helped then, ‘let us sort that for you’…Apart from this the staff were all very nice and friendly. Overall, 5-star if you want a self-catering facility as the kitchen is great (we had several meals on our balcony with a nice bottle of wine) and the place itself in excellent condition and clean. Just note that some background music and mediocre singing from the bistro might be a nuisance along with speeding road traffic and yellow bus horns/loud exhausts/ 10sec blasts of reggae music spoiling the tranquillity expected! But I suppose the Barbados Marketing teams would not highlight this. We used the airport taxi service arranged by the hotel which we would recommend entirely. Thank you all. Read less

My daughter and I have just returned home following an amazing holiday in Barbados staying at Beach View. We were there to celebrate her 18th birthday. We chose Beach view after reading previous reviews and it also looked clean and modern. We were not disappointed. Our 1 bedroom apartment was located in the newer Ylang Ylang building, a few steps through the beautiful garden to 1 of 4 swimming pools. It was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need- an umbrella, washer/dryer, BOP mosquito spray, citronella candle, fridge freezer, microwave… There was also a little hamper included which was made up of milk, bagels, butter, jam, tea bags, coffee, sugar and the best bit rum punch! This was a lovely touch. We used the sugar apple bar for our breakfast- good choice and around £40-£50 for the 2 of us. Cocktails and Banks beer were reasonably priced. No cocktail menu, you just tell them what you like and they’ll freestyle it for you. All staff were so friendly, especially the security guards who would also chat asking how we were and phoning us taxis when we needed them. The hotel is located across from Paynes Bay- a small beach which is good for watching the sunset. Things we did and would recommend.,. Pebbles Beach- bath time for the race horses. A great thing to watch. We got there at 6:15am and there were around 20 horses having a great time rolling on the sand and having a swim. Lots of photo opportunities with the horses. The beach is beautiful! We grabbed breakfast at the buffet at The Radisson hotel and sat on the pier at the end of the beach. Cool Runnings sunset cruise. Absolutely amazing! Lots of rum, dancing, gorgeous sunset and swimming with stingrays and barracuda. We didn’t get to swim with any turtles although we did see them whilst we sailed. The yellow bus! We took the bus into Holetown to do some shopping. Wow- they drive like maniacs! We loved the music onboard with the rapping DJ MCing. The Lone Star restaurant- 10 mins away by taxi. Beautiful setting and delicious food. And we got to see baby turtles being released into the sea which was magical. QP bistro- right across the road. Gorgeous setting and lovely decor. Great food too. Barbados is our new favourite place. Stunning scenery with the friendliest people who are always so happy. Read less

Amazing holiday again. Our 5th time staying here and we can't find 1 negative thing to say about Beach View. We often think about trying somewhere different but always end up back where we call "home". The rooms, the view, the staff, the meticulously well kept landscaping, everything is outstanding. Thank you Beach View and see you again soon.
