Lady J did an amazing job rallying the pool area for bingo. So much fun and I won a bottle of wine, as well as had fun playing! The resort is amazing, pool is nice, drinks are really good. Overall a very good experience with my family. Very relaxing week and nice to have entertainment to participate in.

My husband and I have been to 4 different Sandals locations, but this was our first beaches trip and it did not disappoint! We stayed December 2nd - December 6th. We were checked into our room by Uncle DJ, who quickly became my children's favorite team member while we were there! He was so friendly and engaging with all of us. We truly enjoyed his company! ROOM: We stayed in room 2311 Greek Beachfront Concierge Terrace Suite King (OTK) which was perfect for us. The location was close to the beach, water park and restaurants. The room itself had spectacular views and was very clean. No issues with plumbing or AC and housekeeping did an excellent job of tidying up and restocking our fridge each day. BEACH: The weather was a bit windy while we were there (we were told unseasonably so and have not experienced that much wind in 3 previous trip to Jamaica in Nov/Dec) so we did not get to participate in any water sports, but we still were able to swim and enjoy the beach. The kids loved searching for shells and blue button jellyfish. The size was perfect for our small children (3 and 5). It was small enough that they could run around and feel a bit of "freedom" while we could keep our eyes on them the whole time. Our first day we got to experience clear water and minimal waves - the ocean floor was free of seaweed/muck and we were able to enjoy without using water shoes. At the beach bar we enjoyed the service from Lamarlia and Vanessa - quick and friendly service! WATERPARK: The kids really enjoyed all of the slides they were able to go on. It would be nice if they had smaller slides that went into a shallow area for those with small children so we didn't need to be there to catch them every time. All of the slides went into water that was at least 3 feet deep. It would also be nice if there was more of a separation at the entrances between the blue/yellow/green slides and the two light blue ones that went into the other non-kid pool. We did have an incident once where my son went to one of those while my husband and I were in the kid pool waiting for him and my daughter to come down. We were very fortunate that there was another parent in that pool that was able to get my son at the bottom. FOOD: Breakfast: The only downside, for me, was the single option for breakfast. My husband loves the buffet and would be more than happy eating there every day, but I like the sit down option that we have experienced at other Sandals locations. They had many options at the buffet that pleased even the pickiest eater (my son). Lunch: We only ate at the BBQ/Pizza place and Josephine's (crepes) while we were there and both were fantastic! Our favorites were the veggie pizza, BLT sandwich, and especially the Jamaican patty's. Patrina was AMAZING! She got our son to try food that he never would have otherwise! The crepes and smoothies at Josephine's were also wonderful, try the shrimp and pineapple and of course the Nutella banana! Service was a bit slower there, but we didn't mind! Dinner: We dined everywhere except the Parisian restaurant. Neptune's surf and turf was okay, the swordfish was delicious. At the Venetian we loved the Antipasti bar, signature drink, and salmon. We dined at Bayside on the Italian and seafood nights. Both had SO many delicious options, everything was great. While waiting for dinner one night, Jermain from Bayside saved the day by helping get my daughter milk when it wasn't available at one of the bars. SERVICE: As always with our other Sandals (especially Jamaican) experiences, the service was excellent and is part of what keeps us returning to the brand. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We owe much of our wonderful stay to them! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Sesame Street characters and shows, especially the parade. We all had fun at the Concierge cocktail party on the deck. Our most notable interactions were with: Concierge staff - Uncle DJ, Matthieu, Jevon, Renee, Bryan. Restaurants/Bars - Patrina, Lamarlia, Vanessa, Jermaine. We did book another trip for Turks and Caicos while on site (hard to pass up those deals!), Johanna was so helpful and made the process very easy! All and all a wonderful trip and even though we booked for Turks and Caicos - we will be returning to this property in the future! Read less

Our trip to BEACHES OCHO RIOS was so exceptional I have to mention a few people by name! From the moment we got through customs at the MONTEGO BAY JAMAICA airport, TONY the shuttle driver treated us like family. He even made a quick stop on the way to the resort to let us experience jerk chicken at a roadside stand. We were lucky enough to get him again on our way back and actually got his number so we can request him next time. Upon arrival at the resort, OSHANE and JENNOY took care of our bags and got us settled in our rooms. We didn’t have to lift a finger. So friendly and kind! Our favorite restaurant was the VENETIAN-the antipasto bar has changed my life forever. And the salmon was perfection. We ate there twice and got the best server at the resort both times. Her name is ROCHELLE! I can’t say enough about the buffet-fresh island food that fueled us each day. No fried, no preservatives, nothing bad. Only the best food so well prepared, including a smoothie bar! Our favorite servers were the following: TASEKI, ANGEL, YANIQUE, MOREESE, and OJAY! You guys-it is so important to me to mention them all by name because our time with them was so incredible. These are the best people on the planet. Easy going, kind, loving, and filled with joy! I watched them when they were not interacting with guests, and they STILL were dancing and smiling and some even sang! Seriously authentic. KEMISHA worked in the spa, but interacted with the guests throughout the day. I had several long conversations with her about life in general. What a love! GEORGIA was our travel advisor-she is also exceptional. So helpful and amazing. Because of her, we will be a regular part of the Sandals/Beaches FAMILY. We spent some time with the bartenders too-and gotta mention our buddies by name. OMAR and NICKOY at the pool bar-5 STARS!!!!! YESHUA at the piano bar-exceptional! We took advantage of the complimentary on-site photography session. Our guy was REYNALDO. He could be a Hollywood actor. Huge personality and mad skills with the camera! He had our family of 7 looking good! We had so much fun with him!!! Last but not least: FABIAN at Sandals golf about 30 minutes down the road. He was our personal caddy and spent the round with my husband and me. I felt like I was a member of the PGA tour! He helped with club selection, course management, cleaning of our clubs, and even gave us some pointers on our game! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here and will visit Jamaica again just to play with FABIAN again! He has worked at this club for 20 years. Incredible talent and loyalty. So very patient and kind. PLEASE GENEROUSLY TIP THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE. It shows your respect and appreciation for the gifted work they do. The service industry is challenging, and they deserve SO MUCH! Please thank them in this very important way!!!! Average wage in Jamaica is $100 a week. Serve those that serve you! If you can, BE GENEROUS! We can’t wait to plan our next trip. These people are like family. Maybe better! Read less

We booked the Greek walk out beach front room for December 4-11th, 2024. It was super rainy and cloudy all week, but obviously Sandals can’t fix the weather. Even though it’s kid focused our teenagers had fun on the 3 slides and the banana tube they take out from 930-1130 and 2-4 every day! ROOM: our room was super nice. TRY TO BE ON 3rd floor so you have the best views of the ocean and most privacy. I liked that there was a beach chair and table with chairs on the terrace. The room had two double bees and a pull out couch so our kids didn’t have to share a bed which they were VERY HAPPY ABOUT. FOOD: breakfast buffet had tons of food. Cereal, fruit, oatmeal, omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc. pro tip: get a sugar donut walk over by toppings on the far right and get some Nutella and sprinkles. So good. French place was ok. If you go order the lamb. Best thing there. Italian restaurant was very good and had a antipasta bar. Neptunes is right on the water and had amazing seafood options including lobster ravioli. Piano bar is fun at night so check it out. Crepes place by adults only pool was delicious !!!! Try the Nutella and Banana one. They also have smoothies. ALL RESTAURANTS HAVE KID MENUS so just ask. It includes pizza and chicken nuggets. The BBQ place has yummy pizza. They are also open late starting at 1030 PM. The BLT is legit so order it. ENTERTAINMENT: the people of the entertainment team are amazing. The entertainment was fun. We played name that tune, name that show, bingo, minute to win it, movie trivia, etc there was pool volleyball, beach volleyball. They also had hair braiding down by the main pool. Shows at night included Sesame Street shows which were fun even for our teenagers. They did steel drum band one night, silent dance party in the white night/chocolate night, singing, etc. SHOUT OUT TO THESE EMPLOYEES WHO MADE OUR TRIP EXTRA SPECIAL: AKEEM- you’re the real MVP. So positive and enjoyable to interact with. JASON- the kids absolutely loved you. You are a great MC & so much fun to joke around with. TT- you were so much fun and made us smile. Lady J- you are quite funny and loved your outgoing personality. SASHA LEE- you are so talented. A great singer and dancer and a heart of gold. We miss you already. If you see NAEDINE at any of your restaurants request her she is an amazing waitress. Look for DECALVA at morning brunch. He was quick to help us and her us mimosas. If you go to the slides give RICHARD a hard time. He is fun to mess with. Look for JAHEEM at the pool swim up bar. He makes a great margarita. BRYANNA makes the best crepes and always has a smile on her face. ROSHANE AND ROSHAWN are twin bartenders. They are the cutest and sweetest guys. They will make you whatever you want and bust their butts constantly to be as efficient as possible. Lastly 2 I want to mention. DUKEL always has a smile on his face and greets you when he sees you. If you GO GET LATE NIGHT FOOD LOOK FOR FRANCOIS. He is so so nice. He gives you service with a smile and is super genuine. Chat with him, he will love it. Read less
